Hello loveys, today I have a very exciting blog for you. Influenster sent me my very first voxbox, which contained two free items (for testing purposes only) by Covergirl! I get to try out these brand new Covergirl items and share my results with you! So, I wasn´t exactly sure what came in my Covergirl voxbox, but let´s just say I am in love with both of these items. I used to use more Covergirl products before I switched over to more high end makeup, but sometimes when you are on a budget you need something amazing to fall back on. Also, I have found that sometimes I will love a drugstore makeup product more than I might like the same product thats high end! I just love all makeup honestly, and trying new things is great because then you are more open minded and know your options. (: Okay, so enough gibber gabber, let´s crack open this voxbox and find out whats inside! Okay, so far I see two very adorable items, and a card, lets read it and see what it says! ¨Congratulations! You are one of the first to experience NEW COVERGIRL plumpify Mascara by BlastPRO and NEW COVERGIRL Colorlicious Oh Sugar!¨ In other words, I am liking what I am reading so far. The rest of the card pretty much talks about how you can have an amazing makeup experience without having to spend an arm and a leg. Let´s take a closer look at these products. So, I was super excited at first because I thought that this was a lipstick and instantly put it on, but I soon realized that my lips were just tinted, I read the side which clearly states that it is a ¨Vitamin Infused Balm¨, oops. I was disappointed until I rubbed my lips together some more and realized that they felt so amazing. Covergirl dares us to ¨compare this to a $20 dollar balm¨ which I did, and realized that this felt just as good if not better. It contains grapeseed oil, avocado butter, and Vitamins C & E, and leaves your lips with a hint of a tint. Its also caramel, (my favorite). What I really found to like about this balm though, is the fact that I can put it on top of lipstick and it keep my lips moist and feeling great without messing up how they look. As many of you know I am a lipstick junkie and wearing it all of the time tends to dry my lips out, I feel like this product will help me a lot and I will be purchasing once I run out. So the first thing I realize automatically is how cute the packaging is, good job on that one CG. The box claims that this mascara will give you up to 50x the volume, and of course has a before and after picture on the front of an eye with tiny lashes, then the after picture with long, luscious lashes. Okay, so now you´ve got my attention. When I open up the box, I find this spiral mascara brush that looks different, now I have to try it. Applying goes smoothly, like any other CG mascaras, and I do not see a huge difference. Now do I see a difference in my lashes? Yes, but do I see a difference in my lashes after using this CG mascara compared to other CG mascaras? No. As much as I want to, I can´t. But, what I can say is that this mascara stayed on all day without smudging, and is very much waterproof. It was a tad bit hard to get off at the end of the night, but nothing too horrible. This mascara is good, but not great. Would I buy again? Sure. I will always take my high end mascara over drugstore, but for those of you that are ¨balling on a budget¨ as I like to say, this is a good product to purchase and try out, and who knows, maybe your lashes will look fabulous with it! So there is my product reviews on these two new Covergirl items! Thank you so much for reading and be expecting quite a few blogs this week! If you enjoyed this post about my Covergirl voxbox then you will also enjoy my next upcoming blog all about my Jingle Voxbox! I was blessed enough to get two different boxes to share with you guys! Also, I am so excited because I went shopping at Ulta the other day and picked up some palettes I have had my eye on! Here are my goodies; Be expecting some new makeup looks from yours truly! I also got some other new makeup that I am dying to show you guys. Let me know in the comments below what you guys got for Christmas? Makeup or not I am interested (: I got a lipstick set that came with some Kat Von D, NARS, and Smashbox lipsticks, and a comfy luxury robe that I have lived in since I have got it, oh, and a fitness planner made by Blogilates that I cannot wait to use! I´ll show you guys all of this stuff in another blog but until then, I love you guys so much and will see you next time!
With all of my love,

Hello and Merry Christmas to my beauty blogee´s! I have been meaning to blog but I have been having a very busy holiday season. For once in my life I can say that I am sick and tired of shopping! Good news though, I got my December Ipsy Glam bag and I am very excited to show you guys what goodies I got this month! I will start with my favorite product and work my way down to my least favorite. Here they are... My first favorite item is this Clark´s Botanicals Moisture Mask. As many of you know, I have been skin obsessed lately and I use face masks weekly. I looked up the full size price of this item and it was pretty costly, so I am happy I can try this product out before hand to see if I like it. I have read amazing reviews on this product and actually tried it out tonight. The cool thing about this product is that you can either use it as a face mask, or just as a moisturizer. I decided to use it as a moisturizer tonight. If you want to use it as a mask then you just put a lot more on and let it sit for 15-20 minutes. If you want to use it as a moisturizer then you just use it sparingly. So far my face is happy, my skin can breathe, and it feels very light. I am excited to see the results in the morning after I wash my face. I would rate this product a 10/10. I have never heard of this brand but I am so thankful that I received this item this month. I think this might just end up being one of my new favorite makeup brands and I will be purchasing more items from them asap. Why? First off this product is 100% vegan which means that it doesn´t contain any products from animals, and also the side of the box says that they are animal cruelty free. Just this was enough to win my heart over. Next, the color is gorgeous. I do not have any other color like it. I have worn it the past three days ever since I have gotten it, and have had a lot of compliments on it. It goes on smooth, lasts long, and is very well pigmented. I am only disappointed that I haven´t found this product or brand sooner! I am super excited that I got this product because lately I have been struggling to find a new facial exfoliating cleanser. I currently ran out and I swear I have been having a horrible time just trying to find something new that actually works well. Samples are perfect because even though you can learn a lot from reviews, everyone reacts different to face wash, creams, moisturizer, etc. since we all have different skin pH balances. I have very high hopes for this brand because they make there products with super foods, which means that they are also a vegan line, and I have read that they do not test on animals. I am simply amazed that I got two different vegan brands in one bag. Vegan skin and hair care lines, and makeup are amazing because there are no harsh chemicals that can harm you, plus using nutritious ingredients gives you a better chance of getting that natural amazing glow. I must say, I was actually disappointed in the nail polish, which is unusual because I love getting new nail polish colors, but that is just it. I already own every shiny gold and rose gold color, so this was just kind of whatever to me. It is a pretty color and if I didn´t already own it then I would of been happier with it. Also, most of the time ipsy will send either full size or large sample sizes, which this one wasn´t. Overall, I was kind of disappointed on this item. I will admit that I was also kind of disappointed with this item, as I saw that I was receiving it this month and couldn´t wait to use it. The bristle side is too thick so when I tried to apply my brow powder, the product went on too thick and didn´t look very good. It is also very stiff, even when I run my fingers through it to try to soften it up. Luckily, I already have a brow brush so I can´t be too mad about it. I was very surprised at the quality since the last brush I received by the Crown Brush brand was awesome. Unfortunately I wouldn´t recommend this brush to anyone.
So that concludes this months ipsy glam bag! Though I wasn´t as happy with two of the five items, I still love ipsy and everything it has to offer. Each month feels like Christmas when I am waiting for my glam bag to arrive! I also signed up for a subscription through Aloha, which is a tea and health food site. (Be on the watch for reviews on this brand coming soon.) I love product and sample subscriptions! They are so fun and it makes it easier when you want to try new things without wasting your money. I am looking for more things to sign up for so if you have an recommendations let me know in the comments below! Also, I hope everyone has an amazing Christmas! My family and friends know me too well and are giving me a bunch of Ulta gift cards, (YAS!!!), I am super excited to go shopping! I am always in need of new makeup. I also got the luxury robe I wanted and my 2016 fitness planner by Blogilates! I am pretty pumped about both. Did you guys get anything amazing? I love you guys so so so much and will see you next time! With all of my love, Hello my Beauty Bloggee´s. Today I want to talk about a new product I have added to my makeup collection and how to use it! So first things first I will start with a review on this amazing product, the Flawless Brow Trio. I bought it from the Bhcosmetics website for less than five dollars. (Black Friday deal). I bought the darkest color obviously because I have black hair but even this is a little drastic. I think next time I purchase this item I am going to go a shade lighter even though these colors fit me okay. Other than that, the brush makes it easy to outline your brows and the wax keeps my eyebrow hairs tamed all day. It comes with a double sided brush, one brush being angled and the other kind of rounded. It has two different shades of powder and one shade of wax. This is an amazing trio and I don´t know how I ever survived without it! Honestly, eyebrows were something that were very confusing for me. I understood the basics, but with my eyebrows I felt like it was impossible to ever achieve this look. I have long eyebrow hair, and I felt like my eyebrow shape wasn´t even close to what it needed to be to make them ¨fleeky¨. I studied, over and over again, different videos on Youtube of many gurus using different products to do there brows. I never understood. But once I got this product and looked up some diagrams something clicked, FINALLY. I swear if this brow trend ends anytime soon I will be so upset. I usually catch onto new things quickly but this was the worst, but I promise, its not even that hard, its actually pretty easy. I am going to show you guys how to get those perfect brows at ease in this next part! 1. Trim down eyebrow hairs (optional) So for anyone who has studied the perfect defined brow, you have probably realized that the eyebrow hair is short/ trimmed. For anyone who has naturally long eyebrow hairs, don´t worry, just purchase an eyebrow trimmer for ten bucks and your problems are solved! I bought this eyebrow trimmer from Ulta a while ago and I use it usually once a week. It has become one of the most important things in vanity. Trimming down your eyebrow hairs will make outlining and defining them much easier. I use the short end of the guard but when you first start, I say use the longer side of the guard to play it safe. 2. Outline the top and bottom of your eyebrow. So as you can see here, the brush has both an angled side, and a sort of rounded side. Take the angled side of the brush and lightly put some of the powder on it. I start about my pinky nail width into my eyebrow with the outline. Carefully outline/ shape your eyebrow to the preferred shape without going too crazy. It is very easy to overdo the brows, try your best to keep it as natural looking as possible. If you can´t get it at first do not worry, you guys honestly should of seen my very first time trying to do this. It takes practice and patience. Keep the outline as close as possible to the eyebrow. 3. Fill in the eyebrow with the wax. After this step you will obviously still kind of see the lines you drew with the brown powder, and your eyebrows actually might look a little too intense for you. Do not worry! This isn´t the last step. Right now all you need to worry about is evenly distributing the wax throughout the brow and not messing up the shape. You do not need to put the wax over the lines. Leave those alone, just make sure you get as close to the line as possible. 4. Brush out/ blend out the eyebrow. Once you brush out your brow, the color and lines will not be as intense and it will look like (or should look like) your eyebrows are just naturally flawless! Make sure you lightly brush through the product to keep your outlines slightly in place. Also, your eyebrows might look a little crazy until you do your eye makeup. Do not worry about if they still look too dark or like they´re too much because once your eye makeup is all done, it will look fabulous. Here is the before and after! As you can see here, it looks much better. Fuller, more defined, and clean. I really hope that this tutorial helped you guys out and if you have further questions then just ask below or message me! Obviously it is a lot harder to show you guys over pictures, but after the holidays I will start working on getting some videos out there for you guys since a lot of you have requested them! (:
Also, if you guys didn´t see, I added a subscription box for you to enter your email and be put on my email list for the new BryantBeautyBlog newsletters! One box is located on my welcome page and the other in my sidebar! With these newsletters will be given a lot more information, favorite products, upcoming posts, tips and tricks that will not be included on my blog, and giveaways specifically for my subscribers! Don´t worry, I will only send out 1-2 newsletters per month so no spam! Stay tuned for much more to come, I love you guys so much and I hope you guys are having fun preparing for the Holidays! With much love, Hello fabulous people, I came up with a new idea, and that idea is Tea Time with Courtney! So, instead of just throwing out a random post about a certain topic, and telling you guys that it will be off topic from beauty in the post itself, you guys can expect something different when you read Tea Time with me! I feel like I have connected with you guys on a whole different level so instead of just talking about beauty, fashion, etc, sometimes I want to chat about other topics and other things that may be kind of related or might be completely off from other posts. So, continuing on then, today I would like to talk to you guys about something I am so, so, so passionate about, and yes this is something I have mentioned many times before, Tea! Never in a million years would I of thought that when I became 20 I would of became so passionate about tea, I never ever used to drink tea, but now I am what you may call a tea enthusiast! So official right? I didn´t like it at first, and I actually had to force myself to drink some of the flavors at first (because I wanted the benefits) and now I crave the taste everyday. I say that if you are going to become addicted to something, then become addicted to something that will benefit you! I cannot get through my days without at least two cups of green tea, and not because I NEED it, but because I love the way it makes me feel, I love the way I think clear, and have this energy that I cannot even explain. I went from being completely obsessed with coffee and jumped right over to tea. Now, did I give up coffee completely? Uh, NO. I never could! But with struggles of anxiety, and bad habits of using too much creamer and sugar (a horrible amount), I had to limit myself. Coffee is now a weekly treat for me to enjoy, and believe it or not, but it tastes so much better when you can´t have it all of the time. I even see a change in my weight ever since I have gave up coffee and switched to tea. I still get the caffeine in my tea (optional) but I have more of a clear mind and no crash. I do not use any sugar/ honey/ Splenda in my tea but if you want to then that is completely fine! I even had a tea schedule, which I´ll show you below. (: First thing in the morning/ before morning workout, green tea. Why? On top of all of the other health benefits, drinking it in the morning will..
Uncle Lee´s Tea - Organic Green Tea
After work/ dinner time, red tea. Why?
The Republic of Tea - Good hope vanilla
One hour before bed, sleepy tea. Why?
Yogi Tea - Soothing Caramel Bedtime
So, that concludes Tea Time with Courtney for today! I hope that this was very informational to you guys and for anyone who is interested in starting to drink this amazing beverage. My body has never felt better after I have started this tea schedule! Still, do not forget to get your 8 ounce cups of water in each day! Life is all about balance and too much tea and not enough water can cause kidney stones or future kidney problems. In between each cup I will drink lots of water! Also, the reason why it is important that you know where your tea is coming from is because some brands made in other countries can have harmful pesticides and other things you do not want to be drinking. I read a story of an American girl who had ordered green tea from China and drank it religiously, like me, and one day after three months ended up super sick from it. Come to find out the tea contained pesticides that lead her to get hepatitis. This scared me. Read up on any product you ever purchase! Not only with tea but food, products, etc. Know what you are putting into your body! I will only purchase teas from the U.S! Have any tea recommendations for me? Let me know down below! I love, love, love you guys so much and give me some feedback! Is Tea Time with Courtney a good idea to you? What are some topics you would like me to discuss? I love hearing from you guys! Hope everyone is having an amazing month and I am sending you all of my positive energy! Love, Hello beauties! I hope that everyone is having a fun and stress free December, and I hope that all of your shopping is going good! I still have yet to start Christmas shopping... I did buy some things for myself, though. I know, so bad. I posted this look up a few weeks ago and a lot of you loved it so much, so I finally am putting up a tutorial of this look for you! (I know it took me way too long to put up). For this look I am using my Carli Bybel palette but you can use any colors that are similar if you do not have this! If you followed my Cut Crease tutorial well then this one should also be a breeze since the placement is similar. Lets start shall we? First things first, prime that eyelid! Here, I am using my Jesse´s girl eye primer that I got in my Ipsy glam bag. Next, take a deep purple/ burgundy color from your palette and cover the whole top eyelid. Now, you are going to take a small eye shadow brush and cut your crease with a dark brown shade. Then you are going to take this beautiful bronzy color and blend out that line in your crease (just like in my cut crease post). I also swipe it once on my bottom lid for a more dramatic look. Take the deepest purple/ burgundy color and put it close to the lash line to intensify the shade. You then are going to use a light shade to highlight the brow bone. Here I take my ¨be a bombshell¨ eyeliner and line my top lash line, then I take a smudge brush and blend out that line for a smokey effect. Finish off the look with some eyeliner on the bottom lash line and mascara on the top and bottom lashes. Finished look - I usually always go with a dark lip with this look only because I love bold makeup but if you aren´t into that then it will still look amazing with nude lips! Also, guys, it was getting dark when I was taking pictures of this look so hopefully these pictures look okay for you, if not totally let me know down below in the comments and I will gladly re-shoot (: If any of these steps do not make sense then be sure to contact me so I can further explain this makeup look to you! Also, I have been getting a lot of requests for videos, and that is something I have definitely thought about. If I decide to try that out then you guys will be the first to know. (: So what did you think of this makeup look? Did you like it or is it not your favorite? Also, if you shopped for yourself this black Friday or cyber Monday then let me know what goodies you got! I bought a super cute Blogilates detox water bottle and the Flawless Brow Trio by BH Cosmetics that I have yet to use. Don´t worry, I will be sharing my favorite detox recipes and my product review with you guys once I use these items! Also, I got my nails done today, finally, and here they are for those of you who haven´t seen them already on my social media. I know that this is the time for dark colors since its fall but I am just so in love with this pink color that I couldn´t not have it on my nails again, so this time I switched it up and used some off white polish, too. It came out fabulous if you ask me. I also love how super shiny they are, which is different for me because I usually go matte and stay away from shine. These are all around just a super different look for me but hey, change is great!
So that concludes this post for today and you guys will be hearing from me again very soon! I have some goodies coming that I cannot wait to talk about with you guys! I love each and everyone of you and will see you next time! With all of my love, Hello glorious people and happy black Friday! So, the other day I posted a snapchat of my makeup box while I was in the process of organizing it. The truth is, I have more makeup than what I know what to do with. I got a huge shoe box from work just to organize the makeup I use on a daily basis, the other makeup that I can´t seem to get rid of is in various PINK bags throughout my room. Honestly, they are all my babies so I can´t bring myself to clean out my collection, but hey nothing wrong with that, right? So the question most viewers were wondering, is whats in my beauty box? Today I am going to show you my everyday beauty essentials!
I love having these different palettes because even though they are all pretty neutral, I can still create many amazing looks that fit me perfectly for whatever the occasion. I have various makeup bags that are organized with various different types of makeup to choose from for example...
So for the most part, that covers my everyday beauty box essentials! Using the giant shoe box was a great idea since usually my makeup is just all spread out in front of my mirror and since my box is all white, that calls for some super cute decorating, (lots of glitter to come). Originally, I was going to do a post over whats in ¨My Makeup Bag?¨ but as you can see, my everyday makeup favorites exceed just a bag of goodies. I hope all of you guys had an amazing Thanksgiving and have a super safe black Friday! Let me know any of your great black Friday deals or tell me about your Thanksgiving in the comments down below (: Also, what are your beauty essentials? I hope you guys enjoyed this post and be sure to stay tuned for some more blogs to come, and some super exciting news at the end of next month! With all of my love, Welcome back to my blog beauties! Today I am going to show you how to get that cut crease look while using a contour palette on your eyes. This is my everyday go to look and it is simple, fast, and beautiful. But first things first, why contour your eyes in the first place? And what is a cut crease?
Like I said, this is a fast and easy tutorial that I love to use daily, and all of these products I am using you have seen many times before on other posts. Lets get started, shall we? Step one: Apply eye shadow primer to upper and lower lid. Step two: Take a light eye shadow color of your choice and apply it to the eyelid. Step three: Take a small shadow brush and apply a thick line of contour in the crease of your eyelid making sure that the line is a perfect arch. Step four: Take a regular eye shadow brush and use the bronzer to blend out that line in a back and forth arched motion to make sure you do not blend into the lighter color on your lid. Step five: highlight the brow bone as shown below, and bronze beneath the water line (optional). Use the highlighter to blend any fine lines in the bronzer. Step six: Apply eyeliner and mascara to finish the look. I like to use the eyeliner heavier on the bottom and then use a smudge brush to create a sort of smokey eye look. Finished look Applying winged eyeliner to the top of the lid is optional, but does look super amazing with this look! I wear this look everywhere, to work, parties, and just when I am lounging around. So, what did you think? Was this look easier to do than it looks? I know a lot of you have been wanting me to show you how to do a fall smokey eye and I will have a blog up on it by the end of this week. (: And also, I know some of you will be asking about my nail color since I know some of my followers all too well, and it is number 35, totally tulip, outlast by Covergirl. I have had my eye out for the perfect pink nail polish and I finally found it! If I could have my nails this color for the rest of my life I would. So that wraps up this Cut Crease blog, but don´t be surprised if you see more posts on other cut crease looks I have for you guys! Hopefully seeing the steps in pictures helps some of you grasp the concept, as I know that sometimes video tutorials do not always click for some people, which is totally okay btw.
Hope to see you next time! With all of my love, I have been on a roll with updating my blog lately, and thats because I just keep finding amazing things to share with you guys! So my Facebook pops up random advertisements for different ads for online shopping, makeup artist classes, beauty apps, and the search history of what I look at on ebay. (Thanks for rubbing it in my face, Facebook.) One Ad that had really stuck out to me was something some of you might be familiar with, Ipsy. I kind of ignored it at first, but I began to hear about it more and more and just happened to check it out finally. So, what is it do you ask? Ipsy is a ten dollar monthly subscription that sends you various makeup, face, and sometimes hair products in either deluxe sample or full size, of different brands (even high end makeup brands). This had already won me over. The next thing to win me over is the fact that each month these five products come in a different makeup bag! Okay, so for those of you who know me, I can never have enough makeup bags. Especially with all of the different things I use them for. This was the second thing to win me over. Okay, so this is pretty cool so far, but how will they know what I like? Simple. When you sign up for this subscription, you take a quiz to determine your favorite brands, makeup products, hair and nail, and even skin products. I have seen some amazing products people have got, with brands like MAC, Too Faced, and Urban Decay and the makeup bags are to die for. Seeing some of the makeup bags I have missed out on made me have to sign up NOW. Here are what some of the makeup bags look like from past months: I am completely obsessed with the VIP, gold, and studded makeup bag and I am very sad I missed out on them! But luckily, I signed up for Novembers glam bag, which is by far the best one I have seen! Today I am going to show you what came in my November glam bag and my review on each product. (:
So, I spent 10 dollars on all of this, and after adding up the value of each item, this is totally worth it! Who can ever complain about any of this? I looked up the cost of each item, so lets do a rough estimate: Smashbox travel size mascara - $9 Be a Bombshell wild child eyeliner - $14 Crown Brush Pointed crease brush - $7.99 Mood Matcher lipstick - $5.00 Jesse´s Girl Eye shadow primer sample - $3.00 So roughly, I added up each product to be about $38.99 altogether, plus a free makeup bag, whatever that would cost you. This is honestly, one of the most amazing things I have ever signed up for, and each month will be like Christmas as I wait for my Ipsy bag to show up. Don´t worry, for those of you who are still a little skeptical, I will still continue to post reviews, and the items I receive each month. I have also created a make up look using some of these items, which I will post up later this week. (: If you have anymore questions about Ipsy, or the items I have received then be sure to comment below or email me! And stay on watch for this upcoming post of this amazing fall look created with my Carli Bybel palette... Thank you so much for reading, I love you guys so much! See you next time. <3
With all of my love Hey beauties, everyone has their morning and night routines (or they should have at least). It is so crazy to think that when I was young and careless, I sometimes wouldn't even wash my face before bed and would sleep with make up on.... I did everything so wrong, guys. Now a days, I think I take longer to get ready for bed than to do my hair and make up in the morning, which might be ridiculous now that I think about it. My skin is in the best shape it has ever been in ever since I have taken the steps I need to get my glowing, healthy skin. Here are my updated night time skin routine steps...
*Just to let you guys know, none of my blogs are sponsored by any companies of these brands. These are all honest reviews and are products I actually use daily.
This post has been requested a lot because I know that a lot of people are trying to put together a proper skin care routine but it is a lot harder than it seems. Your skin is such a sensitive thing, and knowing what products to use and when can be very confusing. I hope that this has answered all of your questions and if you have further questions be sure to continue to write me comments and emails, and do not forget to add me on all of my social media sites (links are throughout my website.) What products are you willing to try? If I were to put together a giveaway, then what products would you hope I included? What are products you might recommend and what is your skin routine like? I love you guys so much and hope to see you again on my next blog post. With much love, Hey guys! So, I have been watching a lot of Youtube videos of my favorite beauty gurus answering some surprisingly tricky make up edition ¨would you rather¨ questions. As they were reading these questions, sometimes I really had no idea what I would choose. This is a super fun tag and today I wanted to see what my viewers would rather do in these awful makeup situations... here is a small list of polls for you to answer! Like I said, some of these are a little crazy to even think about.... Some of these questions were definitely crazy, and luckily we will never have to choose between any of them (thank god). I will post the final results up after a week, and what I personally chose!
Did you enjoy this ¨would you rather¨ post? Would you like more? Answer in the comments below or continue to email me suggestions! I love you guys and hope to see you on my next post! Stay beautiful, Its that time of year again! Every Christmas I always want these super expensive palette's and make up brands but no one ever knows the difference between brands or colors so I always end up shopping for myself with my Christmas money. Honestly, make up is one of those things that unless you are really specific, someone who isn't really into it can't buy it for you. Nbd as long I always ask for Sephora and Ulta cards. I got my Christmas issue for all of the neat things and deals they have this Christmas at Utla and I honestly want all of it, but here are a few must haves!
So hopefully I helped you guys add a couple more things to your Christmas lists. I'll be sure to do any reviews on these products if I do get them to let you guys know if it is worth it or not! Hopefully I get all of this.... but in reality, I might get atleast a couple things I wanted. (; One more thing, I did get my Carli Bybel palette that I have been impatiently waiting for, for a week! (Okay I had to wait on a waitlist before I could even order it to be fair.) It is so beautiful and I cannot wait to show you guys some of the looks I create with this palette. These posts should be up within a week! For those of you who want to see what this palette looks like, here it is... It comes with 14 beautiful eye shadows and 4 amazing highlighters! And for those of you who love my nails here, I just got them done yesterday and I am obsessed with this color! Its a deep purple with a matte top coat.... A big thanks to my viewers for keeping up with me and my blog, every view means the world to me! I love you guys so much and hope you guys keep reading! Many more amazing posts to come! Getting a bunch of recommendations, keep them coming!
Stay beautiful! With all of my love, Hey guys! So today's post is going to be a little different. I have been wanting to write to my viewers that I know struggle with anxiety or depression, and I want to let you know that I have also had the same struggles. It took me a very long time, but with time and patience, I turned my life around and got my mind in the right place. I went from having anxiety attacks every single day and not wanting to leave my house because I was just so scared (of nothing btw) to being completely confident and positive, and just living the life I've always wanted. Now, that doesn't mean I don't get sad sometimes, because we all do, but this is no longer who I am. I am finally a happy person and in this post I want to tell you how I changed my life around and kicked anxiety and depression to the curb, the natural way, and I want you to know that you can do this, too, you just have to want it. This is a bit of a lengthy post, but I promise that if you are serious you will read through all of it and take from it what I am sharing with you. I have two parts for you, taking control of your body, and taking control of your mind, enjoy lovebugs. Taking control of your body
Taking control of your mind
So, these are just a few things that can really help you to turn your life around. Though they seem simple and small, or maybe even seem like a big task to you, depending on how bad you want to turn your life around, you will try this! Remember, no one else can make you think any different, so you need to depend on yourself to try this and stick with it! I want you guys to remember that I was once a very depressed and anxious person like you may be. They actually wanted to put me on anxiety medicine but I was determined to find natural ways to turn my life around and be happy. These things are what I personally did and they worked! Now, yes it did take some time. You have to train your brain to start thinking positive. You may be in routine to just look at negatives, like I used to be. And you cannot be deniable to these things either. You need to accept that you can change the way you feel! Now I am not saying that some people do not need medication, as I know that some depression is a chemical imbalance, but before you go right to that option, try to change the chemicals yourself! I believe that I healed myself of these two awful mental obstacles, and if I can do it then so can you! Life doesn't stop for anyone and if you start now then you will be one step closer to living the life you have always wanted to live.
I hope you guys enjoyed this post, and I hope that it honestly, really helps some of my viewers that I have seen battling these two awful things. Life can get better guys, just take it one step at a time. And last thing, I love the people who reach out to me for advice and help. Never be afraid to email me or write me on social media if you ever need someone to talk to. You guys are amazing and beautiful. With all of my love, -Courtney Hi guys, ahhhhh I have so many new exciting things to blog about. I have ordered some new goodies online last night and once they get here you will hear all about it. I also signed up for something you might of heard about, ipsy! I will be doing reviews on the bags and products they send me each month, so that's something new. (: Today's blog I am doing a get ready with me, showing you how I like to get ready in the morning. I won't say that much explaining why I am doing the steps I do because I have provided what each product does in my Face Make up 101 blog below. So, if you are interested in seeing how I do my make up and start my day keep reading. (: First things first, tea. As you can see I am still in my "pajamas". First thing I do before I start my make up in the morning is put on some upbeat music (usually Marina and the Diamonds) to start my day off positive and to wake up (and have wicked dance offs.. with myself...). I also make myself a hot cup of green tea to drink while I get ready. As many of you know I swear by green tea, so this is a must every morning! Wipe off face/ "wash face" My face is pretty clean in the morning since I wash my face twice before bed, so in the morning, as long as I didn't sweat through the night, I will use a Stridex Pad to wipe off any oils my skin may have produced through out the night to ensure a happy and clean face before I start to put on make up. Stridex pads have always worked amazing for me, and I love to let these sit at night on acne spots to dry it up! Moisturize In my Foundation 101 blog, I told you to either prime or moisturize but never both. I personally like to moisturize. I use Beyond Belief Replenish moisturizer. It smells amazing and leaves my skin feeling even more amazing. Only use one pump though, and wait for your skin to dry before moving onto the next step. You don't want to cake it on, like you may do at night to stay moist, because your make up will appear greasy and slide. Foundation Yay! Your skin is now clean, moisturized, and happy. Now you can move onto the foundation. I use Urban Decays Naked Skin, but use whatever you feel most comfortable in. I love this foundation because it really covers up my flaws. Again, read all about it in early posts. Use one pump, and then one you've applied it to your face, buff it out and work it gently into your skin. And now your skin is all one tone, and (most of your) flaws are covered! If you are worried about those dark circles or acne spots, don't worry because you are ready to move onto the next steps, which will provide you with full coverage. Bronze Okay, technically concealer should come next, but what I like to do is bronze under my cheeks and a little on my forehead so it can give me what I call "guidelines" for my highlight! This will make highlighting much easier for you. I take a large powder brush, and use the darkest shade in my palette, (because this contour palette's "contour" isn't dark enough for my preference on contouring shades but dark enough for my liking of bronzer), and then I lightly bronze under cheek bones and on the sides of my forehead, (anywhere it would look like sunlight would hit more on the face). You can also go down the nose. Can you see where the bronzer is? The art of contouring, bronzing, and highlighting is that you see a difference in your face from doing so, but cannot tell you actually have it on. It's supposed to look like you are naturally "tanned" or bronzed" so do not go over board with this, even though you may be tempted to. Conceal I like to use Ready, set, gorgeous! By Covergirl. Make sure you get those areas that were not covered by your foundation. Just simply dot the pimples you want to cover, then use a brush or beauty blender to blend it into your foundation. You aren't done yet. After this, use the concealer to also highlight your face/features. I will show you where I highlight in this next picture. Okay, here is where you get to look a little silly, or very silly.... But anyways, I like to put two triangles under my eyes to cover the dark circles and highlight my cheek bones (to create a higher cheek bone look) and above my eye brows to brighten my face up. If you highlight right then you should see a "heart shape" of highlight on your face, and everything else will be bronzed or contoured. Buff and blend this out and you are ready to move on. Contour I like to use the City Color contour because it is super pigmented, but this is where you need to be careful. Less is more and if you use more it will be harder to blend out. Lightly put it on the areas I am showing you in this next picture. Now that you look silly again, take a brush and lightly blend out your contour. I like to use a circle motion up and down the fine lines to blend them out to look natural. Look closely and you can see where the highlight and contour are. Remember, light colors broaden, and dark colors diminish. If you cannot see it, then look closer and compare the two pictures. You do not want a noticeable contour. Now you are done with your face and can move onto the eyes. Eyeliner If you look close, you can see that on my bottom eyelid I only line from the corner, to about half or halfway through. I noticed by doing instead of going over the whole lid, my eyes look more awake or open. Eyeshadow Next, I take my Maybelline The Nudes palette, and I am selecting this brown color I am pointing to with the brush, I am then applying it on half of my outer eyelid and slightly in the crease. After doing this, I take this next color I am pointing to and apply it on the other half of my eyelid. Using this lighter shade on the inner half of your eyelid will make you appear more awake and your eyes will look more open than if you just applied a dark shade all over the lid. Now I will take a darker color and put it in the crease of my eye to help create/enhance a more hooded eyelid. Be sure to use a small eye shadow brush to help keep the line simple and neat. Lastly, I like to use a lighter shade like so, In between the eye shadow you just did and under the eye brow. This lighter shade will help highlight your brow bone. Mascara I am obsessed with and love Younique Fiber Lash 3D mascara. With this look this is what I will be using. You can use any mascara you like. This is after I have applied the mascara and fibers/ mascara again. I then take a Q-tip and dip it in my stridex pad container to clean off any mess I might of made with this mascara. In this case, I made a big mess.... Next, I just like to take this brown color once again and swipe the brush once under my lower eyelid, just because I love the way it looks on the bottom and I feel like it makes my eyeliner look cleaner. Lips I decided to go with a nude lip for this look. Here I used my E.L.F. jumbo lip gloss stick, which I absolutely adore. This is my go to on a casual day. Last but not least, I just spray some of my CHI keratin leave in conditioner and tassel my hair a little bit for a messy, casual look. I use this once a day and it has made great improvements in my hair, plus it smells amazinggggggg.
So, I hope this helped answered some of your questions on where I apply what and why. I know that you guys loved the Foundation 101 post since I was getting so many questions on what to use and in what order. I do leave out some of the steps in my own routine, but for the most part this should of covered most of the other questions I was getting. Whats your morning routine like? What kind of music do you listen to while you get ready? Stay tuned for many more exciting blogs coming your way. With much love, -Court Hey guys! So in order to prep for Halloween, I have been back on top of my work out game that I slowly started to fall off of about a month and a half ago..... I always do this, once I start to look and feel amazing I start to slack. Well, not anymore. Those days are over! I have been back on top of things to look and feel my best on Halloween. I'm being Wonder Woman btw.... (inserts sly face emoji). One thing I haven't slacked off on, is making sure I drink my 2 to 3 cups of green tea every single day. I have become addicted. Not just to the way it makes me glow or how I look after drinking it for long periods of time, but for how it makes me feel! Instead of drinking coffee for energy like I used to, I now drink green tea for my caffeine. Which is great for some energy during my morning work outs, and it jump starts your metabolism, which is another plus. But I did make a blog about green tea, so if you are interest in reading more about that, then scroll down and read all about it. (: I work out every single day, and I do not do leg day, ab day, arm day, etc. I know that this is the right thing to do but it just never works out for me personally. I only do cardio 3 times out of the week. Monday, Wendesday, and Friday. (I hate cardio so I give myself the weekends off.) I do floor work outs everyday. I have found some amazing videos and channels I would love to share with you! Fast, easy, and life changing. Oh, and a little bit intense.... Blogilates I love, love, loveeeee her channel. Her work outs are so fun, easy, and fast, and they all burn. Don't worry, she makes it seem like this burn is the best thing to ever happen to you! The whole time you are working out with her she keeps you motivated with her fun and uplifting attitude. Its actually quite amazing how someone can work out so intensely but keep a smile on their face. The more you watch her videos, the more of a personal connection you may feel with her. She really knows how to make a wonderful impression on her viewers, which may explain why she has millions of subscribers, including me as one of them. She has some longer work out videos, but also has my favorite, the five minute series, which includes arm work outs, butt work outs, ab work outs, etc. She has more intense work out videos for someone who has been working out for a while, and beginner work out videos for people who would like to start. She even has a book out, Hot Body Year Round by Cassey Ho. You can learn more about this at hotbodybook.com. One more thing included on her channel is Cheap Clean Eats, which is all about how to eat clean on a budget. Here are a few videos you can check out...
Train like a beast, look like a beauty. Fitness Blender Next is fitness blender. This channel is amazing!!!! The reviews, results, and before and after pictures are enough to motivate anyone, and the best part is, its free! They give you amazing work outs and motivate you at no cost. Just make sure if you like them you hit that subscribe button, (I already have on this one, too.) They have videos for male and female, targeting different areas. Some videos they use weights and other equipment, but more so, you just need a mat and water because they have some killer floor exercises that will get those muscles working hard. They have so many different work out videos to choose from for each area you want to tone or build. I was very impressed with the variety. This is why they have so many happy viewers and positive feedback! The way the videos are set up are perfect, some set up to show how many calories are burning during the work out, and others counting down time to make it easier to keep going when it starts to burn bad. This channel is perfect for anyone. Here are a few different videos by them....
They even have their own results from working out with the viewers! Truly amazing. So that concludes my Favorite Work Out Channels blog, I hope that any of you that are looking to change your life and lose some weight will check into these amazing channels and fall in love like I did! Just keep in mind all of that candy you will be eating on Halloween and stay motivated!
Stay beautiful. With lots of love, -Court So now a days, us girls do way more than just throw on some eyeshadow, eye liner and masacara and go. Today its normal to pretty much reconstruct your whole face with make up on a daily basis. But I'm not complaining.... I love my face make up routine and feel amazing after I get done. But this took me a long time to achieve and figure out. Doing multiple steps instead of just using foundation is truly an art and something that you do need to practice before it gets perfect. I used to just use foundation, but I realize how much better my face looks after I conceal, highlight, and contour. This is tricky and a lot of girls are confused on what to use and how to use it, but after I have watched a million and one face make up videos on youtube, it just came naturally to me after it clicked. Today I am going to show you my favorite face make up in the steps I use it.
Here are a few videos I have watched and loved, these have really helped me grasp the concept of all of this, though they may use different products or switch up some steps for personal preferences.
So I hope that this has answered a lot of questions you might of had, I know that I have had a lot of recommendations on this blog lately. When summer is ending and our tans are fading we often resort to foundation to help look more alive in our time of pale skin. Which by the way, I am not looking forward to it getting any colder, but am loving that I can wear all of my cute boots and scarves finally!
Also, Halloween is coming up, and I'm curious at what everyone is going to be? My favorite thing about Halloween is doing the different make up that wouldn't be acceptable any other time of the year. (; So try to stay warm and stay beautiful! With much love, -Court Recently, I've become kind of obsessed with just being a better me, which is why I have changed my routine of how I do things drastically. I decided I wanted to tone up and have actually been kind of obsessed with the thought. At first, I wasn't thinking right. I went out and bought dietary supplements, but after one day of taking four CLA, my heart felt like it was constantly racing, and I did my research only to find out that CLA can cause diabetes, which runs in my family... So, with that, I returned both of the supplements I bought the next day. Supplements might work for some people, but surely do not work for me. My favorite way to get motivated for a workout is drinking a caffeinated, hot cup of green tea! It gets me right where I need to be. Next, I decided to change up my meal plans. Ever since I have started working, I feel like all I have been eating is fast food, yuck. Eating fast food even just one every couple of days can make you feel sluggish and not the best you. I also bloat when I eat fast food, which is a major confidence killer. I cut it all out. No more fast food for me. When I get hungry at work I simply run over to a deli and get a salad, or a healthy wrap made by them. It gives me energy while I'm at work and I feel great when I eat clean. In the picture above, I am giving you an example of what I picked up for the Walmart deli the other day! I bought some blueberry probiotic milk, 2 hard boiled eggs, and a grilled chicken salad! All for the price that I would of paid at Dunkin for one of my greasy (and horribly delicious) meals! I've also tried out many recipes, which you can get online, for healthy meals I can eat to replace what wouldn't be good for me. I've replaced all drinks with either green tea or water. NO pop, NO coffee. Which if you know me, is super hard because I love coffee. Okay fine, I'll drink coffee once a week.... you caught me. But no more everyday coffee routine. Green tea has no sugars, no calories, and many health benefits. It can even make your skin look amazing. Yesterday I read that people who drink green tea and work out lost twice as much stomach fat as people who work out and do not drink green tea. This is honestly the answer to all of my prayers. Try it! Okay, so before I was working out so wrong. I would always make sure I worked out for an hour every NIGHT. Me, being someone who loves to sleep in every chance I get, didn't even want to think about working out in the morning. I mean what is a morning anyways? But, I have been determined and I get up every morning now and work out, and let me tell you, it is amazing! Working out in the morning will wake you up and get you focused for the day, kick start your metabolism, and you'll get a better work out since you aren't drained from going through the day. I actually look forward to working out in the mornings now. I get up, and change into my work out clothes, I make a cup of green tea, and eat a protein bar and some fruit for breakfast. Once this has settled in my stomach I go workout for an hour doing half cardio and half weights, then I come upstairs and do 15 minutes of floor abs. I have two favorite videos I use for my floor work outs which I will provide below. Try drinking a cup of green tea before your work out, (the caffeine might boost your work out ability), and then drinking a cup after your work out. The fitness magazine I read recommended drinking 3 cups of green tea a day! I do not add sweeteners or sugars, and I promise you get over the taste.... so worth it.
As many say, abs aren't made in the gym but in the kitchen, which I never listened to until recently. Cleaning up my diet, and fixing my work out schedule has made a difference already, I look and feel better in this short amount of time and wish I would of started sooner. You can change your life today, and starting is the hardest part, but to anyone who wishes they had this motivation, just know that you can. Everyone starts somewhere! Take care of your body because you only have one to get you until the end!
Hopefully this post has either motivated you, or gave you some good tips and ideas! Feel free to comment below and tell me your health/ work out routine (: With much love, -Court Recently I have turn into a major skin fanatic. I have made big changes in my beauty and skin routine, and though it is a little bit of work, it will so be worth it. I was doing everything so wrong, and now that I have figured out the right things to do, my skin looks and feels flawless, and I have a glow that I never had before, which is honestly the best thing ever. Here I am going to tell you my mistakes and how I fixed them!
What I use:
Small reminders while washing and caring for skin:
1. NEVER rub face with towel to dry, simply pat your face clean. 2. Stop pulling your skin under your eyes down when you put on eyeliner, simply push bottom of eye slightly and carefully put on eyeliner instead. 3. When moisturizing, always massage skin in upwards movement, never massage the skin downwards. 4. Always be mindful of what you put into your body because you are what you eat/ do. So that concludes my blog all about skin! Hope this was helpful and you enjoyed. I will continue to share more products as I test them out and give results. Hope everyone is just as excited for sweater weather as me! With love, -Court Oh, how I love and will miss summer so much. This summer has personally flew by for me. I have had a lot going on with my modeling/ acting, and have been working so much at my new job, the Shoe Department. Yes. I already have over a couple of hundred dollars in the layaway and I have only worked there two weeks. Once I get so tan to where I don't think my skin will get any darker, that's usually the time I can't wait for Fall to roll around. Aside from the football games, Halloween, and hot drinks, I love fall fashion. This blog is going to be about my favorite things to wear during this season. 1. Boots I swear I would wear my boots year round if I could, I love my combat boots, and my Uggs, but more importantly, I love my Timberlands. I hated putting them away this summer, and to be honest sometimes I would still rock them with shorts.... They are seriously my babies. What I have (favorites): What I need: I am obviously obsessed with Timberlands and high heels.... 2. Scarves Honestly, I have a million and one scarves. It is the best thing ever. I love light fashion scarves but when it gets cold I absolutely ADORE my giant, knitted scarves. I guarantee you will never see me without a scarf in the fall and winter. In love with how big, knit scarves look.... 3. Bags Once school and college start back up that's when you get to carry your super cute laptop bags, and big purses. I miss all of my big bags all summer! I have way too many purses, but for some reason I always only use like 3 of the 20. Maybe this fall I can work on using more of them..... And I have also had my eye on a couple ontop of that.... I need an intervention. Bags I need: Lastly, sweaters of course! I love how comfy, and cute fall fashion is and I cannot wait to be rocking my fall fashion at all of the football games and to the coffee shops. Though, summer went by just a little too quickly, and I cannot believe its that time of year again. Hope everyone's first week of school/ college goes well and stay flawless.
Much more to come, make sure to stay updated which can be easily done by adding my social media. -Court Oh man, fake tanning is not only a struggle for you, but for whoever you're dating. I think its kind of funny watching my boyfriend put up with me since I know how much of a hassle it probably is. To be pale or to turn everything magically orange, sometimes I wonder, is it really worth it? This blog is going to be about 10 things you need to know about dating a girl who fake tans, enjoy! 1. Not only will we have fake tan on us, but so will you!
My fake tan has glitter in it, which I'm not too sure why, so my boyfriend gets to wear glitter and be pretty, too. I bet it really makes him feel masculine. 2. We can't wear white, but neither can you. Remember when I said I couldn't wear white in the winter because my fake tan will get all over it? Yeah, well, it'll not only get on my white clothes, but my boyfriends white clothes. I also can't touch anything white either. That's why everything in my life is black. 3. We may be less affectionate during fake tan season. We feel guilty ruining all of your clothes so we tend to stay away on certain days. 4. Our body will occasionally be not matching. Sometimes we only like to cover the spots that will be seen out in public with fake tanner, (makes tanner last long), so when we come home and put on shorts, our legs might be as white as snow, and our top half look like we just got back from vacation. 5. You can't have any white bedding. Even if we wash it off before bed, it will still manage to get on the sheets. I warned you, so you can't be mad when it happens. 6. You might have to wait a little longer for us to get ready during fake tan season. Do you know how hard it is to pretty much paint your body? We are doing this for you, shut up, don't say I don't need it. I do. Hssssss. 7. We might have bad days and good days. Fake tanning is an art. It is so hard to get the right color and make it not spotty. So brace yourselves when we have a bad day, or were running late. 8. You won't believe the amount of money spent on fake tan. Yeah...... like make up, fake tan is a priority. Once you commit to having that tan all winter, you HAVE TO pull through! So that means not eating lunch in order to save a few bucks for your addiction..... 9. Get used to hearing about it all of the time. Your girlfriend and girl friends will sit and have the conversation of ¨how do you stay so tan all year!¨, and we won't answer with a simple reply. No, nooo, we have to discuss everything that goes along with it. Sorry not sorry. 10. Lastly, though we are a pain you will learn to look past all of the horrible things that come along with fake tan season, and maybe you'll learn to smile when you see that orange smudge on your favorite white shirt. So, in other words, when you see a girl who fake tans, run. Or deal with it. Hope everyone is enjoying summer! I laid out all day and I'm burnt. Ouch. Stay tuned and stay beautiful! -C Today's blog will be a little different, I love getting to know my readers and having my readers get to know me, so today I picked out some sort of random, fun questions to answer to hopefully give you guys an insight on who I am. (:
Here we go: 1. Can you keep your white shoes clean? NO. Never. I try. I fail. Especially once I start fake tanning in the winter, then anything and everything white is ruined for me. ¨Why do you wear so much black?¨ Because everything I touch gets RUINED. 2. Most played song? Ahhhh, this one is hard, I have so many songs on replay through out the day. I would have to say ¨Lean on¨ by Major Lazer, its just so catchy. 3. Would you change your name? Yes and no. Maybe. Hm. I feel like its something special since my mother named me, but I totally would of went with something more original if I named myself. 4. What's your favorite TV show? This is a hard one, I love PLL so, so, so much but I have been stuck on 90210 (binge watching on Netflix currently.) 5. Most recent movie you watched? I watched Clueless and loved it even though its a little older. 6. Cats or dogs? BOTH. 7. Are you feeling guilty about anything? Unfortunately, yes. 8. What are you good at? Make up obvi. (: But besides that, I love to draw and act. 9. If you were in any commercial, what would you want it to be? Either a toothpaste commercial (random, huh), make up, or a fast, new car commercial. (inserts sunglasses emoji here) 10. Can you count to one million? Can anyone? Who has an attention span long enough to count that high..... 11. Who are you most comfortable with? Honestly, my brother and my mom, they've seen me at my worst and my best and still have to love me. 12. Most traumatic experience? Oh man, I would have to say my most traumatic experience was when I was in 8th grade and we all went to alpine slide. Alpine slide was this huge concrete slide you went down on, on sleds with wheels. I went before my bestfriend, so I was down the hill waiting for her, but her sled never made it down. To make matters worse it was super dark, and next thing I hear is a horrifying scream. My bestfriend at the time came down with her lip hanging half way off of her face and blood all over her. Her sled flipped and she hit her face on the concrete going super fast. Honestly, I will never ever forget that day, it really did scar me. Also, please never go down a concrete hill with a sled on wheels. Now, I want to get to know you, feel free to comment or message answering any of these questions about yourself! Also, feel free to keep asking questions for my next Q&A post. If you haven't realized I have opportunities for you to get more involved located on my welcome page. (: Hope everyone is enjoying summer, stayed tuned and stay beautiful. -Court Girls with long hair know the struggle of wanting to look cute while sweating under all that hair. I was at a get together last night, and it was sooo humid. My hair was perfect before I left, and I did not want to just throw my hair up in a bun after I got there. (No mirror? No thank you.) Had I came prepared I could of done one of these glorious hair styles before I left my house! Here is a list of my favorite hairstyles for the summer. 1. Casual braided pony This look is super flirty, and fun. Its messy enough to be casual, but super cute for a date night. If you want to spend a day at the beach but not get your hair wet, this is a good look to go to. It just screams summer! I love the loose braid, (especially because my braids on myself were never really tight.) If you want to recreate this look on yourself, but don't know how, here is a youtube video to help you out. This is my go to, always. When I want to look cute for a practice, a day out with friends, or even on a date night. This is the perfect look to be cooled off, but be cute. Its casual, or formal. If I want to keep it super casual, maybe sometimes I'll pull out some messy pieces on the sides. When I want to keep it super formal, I'll keep it all slicked back completely. And, on top of all that, its fast and easy! 2. French braid into messy bun 3. French braid into pony or dutch fishtail This look is so so so beautiful, The french braid into a pony reminds me of hairstyles I would rock when I was a cheerleader, the look with the fishtail dutch braid reminds me of a prom look. Both super adorable. These may not be the coolest styles, but it does keep your hair off of your neck on super hot days. The first look may be easier, and it is the same braid in the video above, the fishtail dutch braid might be hard for some people to achieve, but below I have provided another video for you to use if you need to. On cooler summer days, us girls want to show off our lovely locks. Here are some of my favorite hair down looks for the summer, whether going to the beach or a to a party. Big loose curls, braided bangs, and beach waves are the best summer hairstyles in my opinion.
If your having a beach day never forget your texturing sea salt spray! It is a total game changer, and works amazing in layered hair. I never go to the pool or beach without it. Say goodbye to frizz and say hello to perfect beach hair. So that concludes my favorite summer hairstyles! Hope you found at least one you love and try. Hope everyone is having a blast this summer, getting tan, having fun, and making memories! Stayed tuned, and stay beautiful. -Court Summer is the time we all want to get that perfect tan before we go back to school. Whether in a tanning bed or out in the sun, for some it can be a process. For me, it definitely is and for others with super white skin after the winter, this blog is perfect for you. As many know, I do get in the tanning bed, though it is claimed to be bad for you, I personally love it. I get a tanning package in march, to get my base tan, then once summer hits I am out in the sun all season. Here are some things I like to do when I go tanning. 1. Get the right lotion for your type of skin. I always start out with a tanning lotion that will be less harsh until I get my base tan. I always go for girlfriend SEXY tanning lotion that doesn't have tingle or bronzer in it. A lot of girls like the bronzing tanning lotion but me personally I like to keep it real (atleast during the summer) so I can see my results better. Eventually when I get my base tan, I will upgrade to Australian Gold Heated tanning lotion with T4 tingle in it. For those of you who do not know what T4 tingle is, it pretty much brings the oxygen to the surface of your skin so you tan better, you may or may not turn red for a little bit, but it always goes to a nice an after about half an hour. I personally always get red at first. 2. Get a tanning sticker. I love using tanning stickers because it helps you see the difference and so you don't get discouraged when you feel like you are tanning too slow. It also looks super cute. I usually go with the heart, but this summer I went with the palm tree and I loved it. 3. Cover hair with towel. The tanning bed can lighten your hair, so if you don't want to have to constantly fix it I would suggest covering your hair with a towel. Some people might like the lightened look, but me personally since I color my hair black, do not. It also will keep your hair from getting dry since UV rays can damage the cuticle of your hair. 4. Use goggles. I used to never think that goggles were really that important, but after a while, even with my eyes being closed, my eyes would start to get irritated and dry. I decided it would be a good idea to actually use the goggles as recommended. I even go beyond that, and cover my eye area with a washcloth, because I do not want to age prematurely. I think this is every girls worst fear. 5. Actually, I just cover my face. You know, as much as I want a tan face, I realized that I don't want wrinkles anywhere at all. Its okay if you don't cover it, but personally, I can deal with wearing make up all summer and not worrying about wrinkles later on in life. Not worth it. I know that a lot of people hate tanning beds, but here are some of the reason I love them. 1. Helps clear acne. After winter, people tend to have more acne due to not having sun on their faces, eating junk food during the cold winter months, and sports they played through out the year. Now I know this goes back on what I said about covering your face, but atfirst I will leave the towel off to help clear up my skin if I need to. 2. Clears skin conditions. I have always had eczema growing up on my arms, but I realized that after tanning, it dries it right up and leaves your skin smooth. This is always my go to when it starts to get bad, it works everything and is so much better than the medicine I always had to use for it. 3. Helps you get prepared for long summer days out in the sun. A lot of people will go in the tanning bed before vacations so they don't completely fry while in the intense heat. Plus, trying to lay out with completely pale skin all of the time is almost a lost cause unless you burn and then tan, which is not the best thing to do. 4. Its relaxing. Its so nice to listen to music and just relax for 20 minutes after a long day. These are all of the tanning lotions I've used and loved, Pink Diamond T2 is less harsh than heated T4, both had great results for me though.
Caution: Please don't wear tanning bed lotions in the pool, when I was young and dumb I would all of the time and it just damages your skin so much. So that concludes my tanning routine, I hope this helped some people who maybe have never used a tanning bed and have thought about it. I know this post is long overdue, but I hope you enjoyed. Much more to come. Be safe, and happy tanning! -C Gabrielle Bonheur Chanel I know that every girl knows what Chanel is, or atleast I hope so. Today's blog is dedicated to the amazing and wise woman, Coco Chanel. She was the founder of the Chanel brand and an amazing french fashion designer. She loved pearls more than anything and would put a lot of her models in a bunch of pearl necklaces, which ironically one of her famous quotes were ¨Before you leave the house, look in the mirror and remove one accessory.¨ Coco Chanel was such a successful fashion designer, and determined business woman. I look up to her for inspiration to be the best I can be. A lot of her quotes I just adore or can relate to. Today I want to share some of my favorite quotes with you. ¨Keep you heels, head, and standards high.¨ ¨The best things in life are free, the second best are very expensive.¨ ¨A girl should be two things, classy and fabulous.¨ ¨I don't care what you think about me, I don't think about you at all.¨ ¨Fashion is architecture, it is a matter of proportions.¨ So that concludes my Coco blog, hope you enjoyed. But we can all relate to the many struggles that come with wearing make up. Here is a list of struggles I have dealt with while wearing make up. 1. Lipstick struggles Wearing lipstick itself is a struggle. Though I love and wear lipstick everyday, it takes a while to adjust to maintenance that comes with it. Unlike eye make up, or face make up that you do once and do not touch for the rest of the day, lipstick has to constantly be reapplied. It gets all over your food when your eating, on your drinks, on your teeth, everywhere. It can smudge, or your lip liner can become uneven. You have to have a lot of patience to wear it all of the time, trust me. 2. Sweating off your cover up. Cover up is such a useful resource, a lot of use wear it to cover acne, red spots, or just make out face match our body. Almost ever girl wear at least cover up daily, (especially in the winter), and I think the worst possible thing that happens with it is wearing off, or sweating off. I don't know about you, but my cover up always sweats off right above my lip, luckily I have fixed this issue. I now wear Revlon 24-hour Colorstay. This has actually changed my life. It doesn't sweat off at all for me. 3. Eyeliner running. I used to always have the issue with my eyeliner slowly coming off of my waterline as the day goes on. I would usually just rub it and smudge it to look like I was going for the smokey eye look.... never actually was. I fixed this problem by not putting eyeliner across my whole waterline and just the outer edges. I also usually don't even wear it on the bottom at all, just use mascara on my bottom lashes to look as if I did use some eyeliner. 4. Hitting your eye with mascara brush. I know we have all done this. You get your cover up, eye shadow, and eye liner done, then you have to redo it all because your pretty much crying from hitting your eye with the mascara brush. This was always how I knew I would have a bad day. The most frustrating and time consuming thing ever! Oh, and not the mention the most painful thing ever. 5. Doing your make up in unnatural lighting. This is a serious struggle for me. You think your make up looks good and then you get in your car and you realize that you look horrible. The best lighting to ever do your make up in is natural lighting. That's why I always do my make up by the window. Fluorescent lights can trick you into thinking your make up is evenly blended or looks good, but don't fall for it! Save yourself by double checking when your done if you can't get close enough to the window while doing it. So, I'm sure this has happened to a lot of you, also.
Girls just have it rough having to deal with all of these make up hassles and struggles. Hopefully you got some good tips from this blog today though. Stay beautiful, -Courtney As some of you may know, Amber Rose has came out with a book titled ¨Ḧow to be a Bad Bitch¨. Something I will deff not be reading. But some of you might! Unlike me, if you are a fan of Amber Rose, then you might want to snatch a copy of her new book, which are selling on amazon for only $20. Personally, I would much rather buy Kim's big book of selfies if I had to chose but that's just me. But anyways, In honor of the release of this.... literature.....
Today my blog will be my tips and tricks on what I think makes you a bad bitch. Yayyy. 1. Not caring what people think. Unless these people are your friends or family, then they are considered irrelevant. Its very easy to get wrapped up in what other people think of you but really, why? Love yourself, which is easier said than done, but be confident and have no shame in who you are. People will notice you when you come into a room with confidence opposed to someone who hides their selves away. 2. Have standards. With more than just guys, but with the people you choose to hang out with, too. Never pass judgement, but hang out with people who are just as successful as you, people who uplift you, and people who do not use you for what you have. Have standards as far as respect goes, respect yourself, make sure your friends respect you, and make sure the guys you date respect you. How much of a bad bitch can someone be if they let everyone walk all over them. 3. Never just roll out of bed. I mean, even on sick days I make sure I still look presentable. Always dress to impress because you never know who you might meet. 4. Don't just stick to trends. Do your own thing, make your own trends. Bad bitches want to stand out, but you won't stand out in your standard Uggs and Leggings. Customize yourself, make yourself different than every other girl. Get noticed and own it! 5. Be successful. Nothing is better than a girl who can support herself and has her life together. Being a bad bitch isn't about having a bunch of tattoos, wearing all black, or hanging out with the cool crowd. Its about being as independent as possible. Not needing a man, not worried when a friend does them wrong, who can walk alone and succeed alone. Being alone is your prime time to work on a better you. The baddest bitch is well established and self established and that's all there really is to it. So I'm not sure how much of this is really accurate compared to Amber Rosé's thoughts on it, but this is what I think makes you a baddie. Stay beautiful, -Court |
