Late glam bag post because most of you know that last week was my Birthday week and I was celebrating the whole week! Okay, actually, I was celebrating 3 of those 7 days and the other days I was working... But it sounded good, right? I almost skipped over doing this glam bag post this month since I was so late, but I just couldn´t refrain myself from just doing it. I mean this is a guaranteed monthly post by now, so how can I just not do it? This months glam bag items were average but I still will probably really enjoy and use the products that were sent to me all up. Keep reading if you want to check out what was in my May glam bag! Destination Chic Glam BagSo this months theme was ¨Destination Chic¨, which explains why the glam bag looks like an envelope with various well known monuments, airplanes, and statues all over it. I absolutely love the print and the concept. I thought that it was super adorable and different. Once I saw how adorable this bag was, I couldn´t wait to pop it open and see what goodies were sent to me this month. Glam Bag GoodiesWhen I saw the makeup brush and face products I got super excited. Its funny because a lot of the girls I know hate getting face products buts its honestly one of my favorites. Lets take a closer look at each product - Gloss Snob Lip Gloss
Vera Mona Smudge Brush
Smashbox X-Rated Mascara
Vasanti & Glam Glow Exfoliant
So that wraps up this months glam bag! What did you guys receive if you got anything different? And have you used the face mask? That is the product I am most excited to use.
Also, I have a birthday post coming at you guys asap giving you guys some outfit details of what I wore this weekend, a funny story about something crazy that happened at our hotel, showing you guys the crazy heels I wore for the night, and my birthday makeup! Hey there beautiful! I hope that you are enjoying your day and have had a stress free week! Speaking of a stress free week, today I want to let you in on how I like to stay stress free and rejuvenated. For most of my life I never had any form of wind down routine. I just pretty much kept going and going, week after week without stopping to take a break and clear my mind. Ever since I have been on my journey to a more stress free and positive lifestyle, I have been trying anything and everything that I could possibly do to reduce stress and ensure a healthy lifestyle, some things working better than others. I slip things into my daily routine to kind of keep me steady and stable throughout the day, but I have recently started dedicating a whole night, once a week to myself. Lets just say that this new weekly routine has changed my life in just a short amount of time. So what is that routine you may ask? Well I would like to call it my weekly wind down and maintenance routine. Today I am going to list some of the things I like to do in this ¨spa¨ night that I have dedicated to myself, from maintenance, to pampering, to complete relaxation. I love to wind down and clear my mind, for a sane and stress free week to come. Beauty MaintenanceBeauty maintenance is something that can become hard to maintain once you get so busy with your life, from letting your dead ends split until you lose inches of length, to running around with messy brows that you keep promising you´ll get waxed. Instead of maintaining these things when you absolutely have to, try maintaining them once a week so you can look and feel your best all of the time. Here are a few of the things I love to do weekly - 1. Clean up eyebrows and lipThough I have been a bit of a slacker at times, I usually love to go in once a week and pluck some stray hairs and trim down my eyebrow hairs. Keeping up with my own eyebrows has saved me a ton of money and I never have to deal with the harsh effects of waxing. Also, plucking weekly, whether I absolutely need it or not, has made it even easier to maintain, since I have kept up with them instead of letting them grow all crazy and dealing with all of the hair at once. You can also try waxing strips if thats something you prefer. 2. Trim dead endsIf you are brave enough to point cut barely anything off of your hair weekly then I strongly suggest you do it! Ever since I have started trimming off the very ends of my hair weekly, I have seen a significant growth rate and my hair has been the healthiest it has ever been. If you would like to learn how to point cut your hair then I can provide you guys with a tutorial! (Also, stay tuned for my upcoming hair care guide, with more hair tips and point cutting advice.) If you do take on the role of becoming your own hair lady, then make sure you use proper hair cutting shears, NOT kitchen scissors, since hair cutting shears properly seal the cuticle of your hair shaft. 3. Exfoliate body and faceTruthfully, you should exfoliate your body and face daily, but if you simply do not have time, then I do at least suggest exfoliating weekly! You will love the difference in your skin after you remove the dead skin cells, plus exfoliating will keep your skin looking young, fresh, and rejuvenated! Right now I am using the Passion Kiss Pink Sand body scrub from Bath and Body and Clean & Clear morning burst detoxifying facial scrub! Both of these products smell amazing and leave my skin feeling super soft to the touch. (And when your exfoliate your face, your foundation and other products apply more evenly and smooth.) 4. Hair maskIf you want super shiny and healthy hair, then I strongly suggest using a hair mask weekly. As soon as I apply this hair mask to my hair, it instantly feels smooth and untangled instantly. I leave the mask on for 7-10 minutes, then rinse completely. I generally use the mask after I shampoo and condition, and when applying, I try to keep the product off of the roots to keep my hair from looking greasy the next day. I use this nourishing masque by Mystic Divine and absolutely love the way it smells and how it makes my hair feel! You can get this product for 6-8 dollars at Sallys! Relax & PamperThough there are a million different things you could do to wind down and relax, I have found these things to be the most effective and my personal favorites. I look forward to this part of my routine the most! Here they are - 1. Face maskUsing a face mask weekly is a great great to unclog pores, and prevent wrinkles. Though they make many masks for many different reasons, my favorite is the dead sea anti-stress mask by Freeman. Nothing is more relaxing to me than using an aromatherapy face mask each week. It calms your mind and relaxes you on top of keeping your skin clear and smooth. Though, I do love the enzyme mask for when I have dead or dry skin. Just the smell alone of these amazing masks can put so much ease on your mind. This is deff essential to any successful wind down routine. 2. Bubble bathIt doesn´t matter how old you are, bubble baths will always be super fun and relaxing. Baths are the main ingredient to my wind down routine, especially since throughout the week I never have time to just soak in a hot tub. I have made sure to make time to take a bubble bath at least one night a week, (particularly a day I have worked out the most or have worked my longest shift.) I use Sonoma Spa Ocean Spa bubble bath which you can find for a few bucks at Walmart. They have a few different scents and brands but all of them smell super amazing. 3. CandlesI love, love, love lighting all of my candles and lounging around in a candle lit environment. It keeps the room warm and glowy, and the smell is so relaxing. My current favorite scent is bahama breeze, even though I light a few other scents along with it. I also love to place candles in different spots around the tub to keep it well lite, just make sure you don´t place them anywhere that can burn you or get knocked off easily. 4. Relaxing music or a good bookSince I cannot sit in complete silence while bathing, I love to either put on some relaxing music or read a book that I cannot put down. If I listen to music, I usually put on some Lana Del Rey since her music is so calming to me. When I read in the tub, I love to read books that do not over work my brain (for example: my real estate books or philosophical reads). I love books that tell a story and that momentarily take me away from reality. It is so great to temporarily get out of your head and not worry about your own life for once. This has greatly reduced my anxiety and stress levels. I just started reading ¨Love with a Chance of Drowning¨, which is not something I would usually go for, but truthfully cannot put down. 5. Relaxation tea or hot chocolateYou guys already know my love and obsession for tea, especially Yogi tea. I really love to drink the soothing caramel bedtime tea. It tastes amazing, and I do not have to add anything to make it the perfect cup of tea. Though I am not so sure if it actually relaxes me, its a fun thought and maybe a bit of a placebo. I also love how this tea adds to keeping me warm while taking my relaxing bubble bath. If I am not in the mood for tea, which is hardly ever, I love to at least make sure I have some sort of warm beverage by my side. My other option is typically hot chocolate. Warm beverages before bed do something great for me. I always make sure that I have my luxury robe and slippers waiting for me for when I get out of my bath. I also make sure that clean up will be quick and easy, because by the time I make it out of the tub it is usually really late, since I enjoyed my pamper time so much, and its nice to jump right into bed afterwards and fall quickly to sleep. The mornings after my pamper nights are usually the easiest because I sleep so good and feel so refreshed. I love waking up with my clean, soft skin, my amazing smelling, and soft hair, and my cleared mind. This routine has really helped to push me through my long weeks and is my number one motivator when I am feeling stressed. I cannot express enough the importance of taking care of your mental, physical, and emotional well being. I promise that the first time you guys try this you will be in love and want to continue to do it!
I hope that this post has given you guys some good ideas and has motivated you to create your own wind down routine. Maybe a lot of you already have one! If you do, then let me know below what you like to do to relax. Also, what are some books you guys love to read? Always looking for new book recommendations ;D Side note, my Birthday is Tuesday so I am pretty excited about that, anyone else have May birthdays? This year I want to blog about my Birthday weekend a little bit and kind of take you guys with me in a way! Still working on vlogging, we will see how that goes! I love you guys oh so much, and I will see you next time! Xoxo, Hello love bugs! Welcome back to my blog, I hope that you are all having a wonderful day! This week I decided to attempt some kind of new or different eyeshadow looks since for a while I´ve felt like I was doing the same makeup look daily. I also tried to use some of my other palettes because I have been sticking to just one of them and neglecting my other babies. Some days were a tad bit rushed, since I underestimated my color collaborating skills and application in my normal morning routine time. Oh, and I also attempted to apply false lashes one day..... which ended terribly, I mean come on, am I the only girl in the world who cannot apply fake lashes? But besides that, I enjoyed creating some new go to looks and I am very excited to share them with you guys. A couple of these looks may seem familiar since I got excited and posted them on my social media prior to this post! I also listed the palettes I used with each look down below! Check it out -
SaturdayBrown neutral eye look created with the Morphe 350 palette. If you would like a tutorial on any of these looks then comment down below! Also comment your favorite eye shadow look! My favorite makeup looks were on Sunday and Wednesday. Both looks I have never attempted before but ended up loving! If you guys want more posts like this then let me know, I actually enjoyed doing this and sharing these new (and not so new) looks with you!
I love you guys so much and I hope you all have a great week! Xoxo, Hello beautiful people! So, if you use the internet then you have probably seen all of the beautiful, and not so beautiful, dresses and attire from the 2016 Met Gala! Now I don´t know about you guys, but I LOVE looking at all of the different outfits and picking out my favorites (and not so favorites). If you know me, then you know that at this time this is all I can really talk about, so today I thought that I would share with you guys some of my all time favorite and not so favorite outfits from the Met Gala! In case you guys didn´t know, this years theme was ¨Manus X Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology.¨ Back when Vogue announced the 2016 theme, I already knew that I was going to fall deeply in love with so many different outfits and dresses. I mean, this theme honestly just sounds fierce. With some of the attire more than others, I really saw what they were going for. Others not so much... but lets get into it! Here are my top 3 FAVES. - 1. Alessandra Ambrosio(Google Images) If anyone can rock a Balmain gown & Giuseppe shoes it would be her. She SLAYED and sorry but if you disagree, then you can make your way to the door. I don´t know what it is about this dress, but once I saw it, I immediately fell in love. 2. Adriana Lima(Google Images) So, I´m not sure what I loved more, her hair and makeup, or her Giambattista Valli Haute Couture dress. The style of the dress & her hair and makeup reminded me of a classical look, and though some bloggers and magazines are throwing a fit because this outfit has already been worn to anoter big event by a celeb/ model, I still think she killed it. 3. Taylor Swift(Google Images) So what I can say is that this dress wasn´t what made me fall in love with this look. Everything put together, from the hair and makeup, to the LV dress, to the shoes, like I have never seen Taylor Swift slay so hard in my life. I was in complete shock when I saw this pic of Taylor. She has proven to us that she can look beautiful and sweet as the girl next door, but she can also look like she can break some hearts in her goth inspired, sparkly snake print Louis Vuitton. P.S. where can I get these shoes.... anyone? 1. Stacy Martin(Google Images) I can easily say that this is not one of my favorites. Though her makeup is on fleek, the print of this dress just bores me & I don´t exactly see where the theme comes into play. 2. Mia Wasikowska(Google Images) Though I am sure she felt amazing in this luxury dress, I personally was not a fan at all of the colors, the material, or even simply the style. I think that she totally could of rocked anything else, but this one just wasn´t cutting it. 3. Beyonce(Google Images) I cannot believe the Beyonce has made it to one of my least favorites lists, and even though this dress costs more than my life, I was just not feeling this one. (She still slays though, of course.) Side note, my whole body would be so sweaty once I got this dress off, you know what I´m saying? Side Comments
So, obviously I had many other dresses and attire that I adored but I wanted to keep this one sweet and short for you guys, especially because I could go on for days and days about all of the dresses. Also, I tried to keep my positive opinions longer than my negative opinions, because my negative opinions are irrelevant as long as these women felt great that night! What were you favorites and least favorites? Also, what do you want next years theme to be? Honestly, I want it to be so many different things that I can´t decide what I really want! Its so fascinating to me to compare each celeb to previous Met Gala events and see how different they dress and look in just a years time! Just like Taylor, they can go from pastel pink one year to an edgy, gothic look like that. That is the beauty of the Met Gala. I also love seeing who makes the guest list each year. I could not imagine being a famous model or celeb and actually receiving at invite! (I would imagine it being like opening up a college acceptance letter, only this being much better.) So I hope that you guys enjoyed this post and I want to hear your input on the 2016 Met Gala, so comment your opinions down below! Also, for those of you who have me on snapchat, you have probably seen that I have starting filming finally! I am so excited to get my first video up! Even though the other day I had a super hard time trying to figure everything out and wasting hours editing a video that I couldn´t even post since it didn´t properly fit in the box! (We live and learn, what can I say?) I know that a lot of you had asked me to start filming my makeup looks, etc so I am so excited to finally be able to do that for you guys! I will keep you guys updated! I love you guys so, so much and I hope you have a fabulous day! Xoxo, Hello love bugs! I hope that you all had an amazing Saturday! So, I don´t know about you, but lately I have been rather broke. I have been shopping a little too much but hey, whats new, I pretty much live to shop. We all love the feeling of getting something new, but what about when you´re too broke to function and craving that new feeling? I have 4 simple things that help me achieve that new feeling all without spending a penny. - 1. Samples, samples, and more samplesI absolutely hate walking out of the makeup store empty handed. Its so hard to go in and just look, and usually that is never the case when I walk in with a few bucks in my purse. One of my favorite things to do when I am craving something new from the makeup store is get a few foundation samples of a product I have never tried. To me it is just as exciting as buying an actual product because I know that I get to try something I have never tried before. I actually just went and got 5 samples today to test out and see what I want to buy next! I also love that these samples usually last me a few days! It helps save my expensive stuff at home. 2. Magazine & Blog Subscription ¨Shopping¨I absolutely love reading other fashion and makeup blogs on top of reading Glamour & Cosmopolitan online. What I love even more than reading the blogs and articles is signing up to sub to the news letters! Most of the time the newsletters will include some exclusives, like giveaways, tips, and extra things to read. Plus, if you love someones website then subbing will make it easier to catch the latest news! It feels like Christmas to me every time Glamour has something new posted to their website. Also, I am subbed to so many blogs and magazines that I always have something new to read whenever I am out and about, standing in line, or sitting in a waiting room. 3. Enter GiveawaysFor a hot minute I had nothing better to do than to sit around all day and enter giveaways. Personally, I had always been the person who thought I would never get lucky enough to win something, so for the longest time I would never take the time to actually enter them. One month I signed up for two giveaways, one for a Younique 3D mascara, and the other for a 24 piece brush set from Bdellium tools. I actually won them both! It was awesome to get free makeup and brushes in the mail, especially when I didn´t have the money at the time to buy it for myself! Now, I obviously don´t win all of the giveaways I enter, but better to take a chance and possibly win than take none at all! 4. Prepay For Subscription BoxesNow if there is a time you are swimming in money, then something you can do for your down times is prepay for a makeup subscription box! It´ll be a nice little treat when you get your monthly products when you couldn´t afford anything else. (The struggle is real sometimes guys.) With Boxycharm you can prepay months in advance! This is perfect for any makeup addict like myself who loves to constantly get and try new things, even on a budget. So that concludes my 4 tricks to that new feeling when you´re broke! I hope that you guys enjoyed this post and it was somewhat helpful! If you guys have any other ways that give you that new feeling for free then comment down below what it is!
Also, I just need you guys to know that yesterday I bought a shirt that literally says ¨with my woes¨ on the front of it and it is the best shirt I have ever owned. If you follow my on IG then I am sure you guys will be seeing a selfie of me in it. (@bryantbeautyy, shameless self promo) Have you guys bought anything cool this month? Post your April haul below. :* I hope you guys enjoyed, I love you all so much and I will see you next time! Xoxo, Hello beauties! So, remember when I said that last month was my last Ipsy glam bag? Well, I lied. I slacked and didn´t cancel my subscription right away.... but thats a good thing, because this glam bag ended up being AMAZING. And I´m not just saying that, this bag came with a few things that just wowed me, which I needed after the let down last month. Now I have to sit and wonder if I should still sub or not.... Ipsy gets a lot of negative feedback on some of the makeup pages I am in on Facebook, but what I am starting to realize is that its really just hit or miss each month! My makeup collection has grown immensely and I have added full size products to my collection all thanks to Ipsy. I guess we will see what I end up deciding to do next month! The bag itself is super cute, I love the colors they chose for this month. The theme is ¨dreamers¨, which could only leave me to wonder what fantastic products I would be receiving this month. The card says ¨This month, create looks that celebrate every side of your unique beauty-from natural and understated to high fashion and ultra-glam. We can´t wait to see what you dream up.¨ So I mean, that´s pretty cool. Here are the goodies I received this month -
So there are another month of goodies from Ipsy, I hope you guys enjoyed! If you get Ipsy then did you receive the same products? What were your favorites? Also, do you guys enjoy my Ipsy glam bag posts? If you do then I will probably just stay subbed and keep doing this for you! I still will probably add on another sub for the month.... still deciding which one! But if you guys like these then I have no problem keeping them going!
Also, a lot of you guys voted on the How to: Hand Makeup blog, which I am currently working on, but between this promotion and shoots , etc, I haven´t had as much time as I have wanted to sit down and be as creative as I have wanted to be! But stay tuned, it will be coming your way sooner than you expect ;D I love you guys so much and will see you next time! With love, Hello beauties! While I work on a writing another (longer & more detailed) post, I decided that in the mean time it would be fun to show you guys some of the products on my current wishlist! Some of these products are either too unrealistic for me to purchase myself, or are new things that I have yet to purchase and need to! Brace yourselves, you might fall in love with some of the things I am about to show you -
So that is just a few of the products on my current wishlist for now, I wanted to keep going but if I kept going then this list would go on foreverrrrrrrrr. The life of a makeup addict gets hard sometimes, especially when your bank account can´t keep up with you and your spending habits. Have you guys tried any of these products about? If so let us know what you thought of the product below. What Product on this list would you die for? Also, list your current makeup wishlist below! Lastly, have you guys voted for the next big post you want to see? If not then you can here - I love you guys so much and hope that you all have a fabulous day!
With love, Hello Beauties! I am soooo sorry for not keeping up with my blog! Quite a few of you have been checking back constantly and asking where I have gone. Luckily I haven´t gone too far. I have just been so busy with my job and studying for a state exam! (Yuck.) I know that I was on a great post streak for a while there, but I know you guys will forgive me for my absence. ;D So besides my busy yet boring life, I had recently made time to go shopping, not that I needed to, but I happened to come across a brand that I have never even heard of. I am sure many of you have by now, but I guess that I have always just walked right by it in the makeup aisle. Two of these palettes jumped out at me and I had to check them out. Those two palettes are Run Boy Run and Mermaids Forever by Revolution. When I looked up reviews for these palettes I had seen that they have been around for a while now, but since I had never heard anyone talk about them I was a tad bit skeptical. All of the reviews were great so since I´m a makeup addict, and since they were both so cheap, I went ahead and purchased both of them. Here are what they look like - Now I am a sucker for cute packaging, so once I saw these I knew I had to add them into my collection. The shiny blue on the Mermaids Forever palette was so different, and the ¨Run Boy Run¨ was so simple yet adorable. Also, the Mermaids Forever palette was only $15.99, and the Run Boy Run Palette was only $10 dollars. You really can´t beat that. On the back of the box I saw that the Mermaids Forever palette had a wide variety of shadow colors like blues, purples, and oranges and the Run Boy Run palette had both shimmer and matte shadows which also had some pretty purples, oranges, and what I had thought were greens. I couldn´t wait to crack these babies open in the car. When I took the palettes out of the boxes I realized that they both looked very similar, minus the Mermaids Forever palette being bigger of course. When I opened them up I was very mesmerized by all of the beautiful colors that they provided. Run Boy Run has the perfect colors for both day and night looks, while Mermaids Forever had colors for every outfit, look, and event. Though a couple colors were off from what I had seen on the back of the boxes, ( and they didn´t have testers out) I was still very impressed with what I was seeing, First, I played with my Run Boy Run palette. I love how it comes with 12 shimmer shadows and 6 matte shadows. Its perfect for switching up looks and is very versatile. I also love that this palette comes with a mirror. Anymore I cannot stand palettes without a mirror because it just makes it so much more convenient. It also came with one of those plastic makeup applicator things, which I threw out because, just, no. But I would never expect a nice brush with a ten dollar palette so I can´t even be maddddd. Next, I played around with my Mermaids Forever palette. It also comes with a mirror, and the mirror is the length and width of the whole palette so I am super happy about that. As you can see, it comes with so many different colors, some more shimmery than the others. I love the range of colors his palette has, as it has a little bit of everything. Also, with summer coming up I can already see so many potential makeup looks to fit the season. In case you didn´t want to count them, this palette has 32 colors to choose from.
So that concludes my product review on these two fabulous palettes. And even though I am a little behind in finding out about this, I hope that this benefited some of you! I feel like some cheaper palettes are over looked and a lot of people focus more of the high end palettes that everyone has to have. (Drugstore palettes still need love, too, guys.) Plus, these are great buys for anyone who is in dire need of new shadow shades but doesn´t want to spend a bunch of money! I promise to keep up with you guys and I really appreciate the emails asking where I went! (I wasn´t aware that so many people would miss me!) Also, I want to start letting you guys pick what post you guys want to see next! I only have three options for this week so pick which you would rather read first (located below) and then stay up to date with me by following me on my social media and subbing to my newsletter! I love you guys so much & I will see you next time! Muah, Hello beauties! I hope everyone is having a fabulous day! To be honest the most productive thing I have done today is make a smoothie for breakfast... hopefully you guys are having a more productive day than me! Today I thought it would be a fantastic idea to talk to you guys about priming! A lot of girls write me asking me what I use and why I use it. In fact so many girls have came to me with this question that I decided to make a whole post about it! So, priming hasn´t been around forever, in fact it just recently became such a big thing in the beauty industry. With the way us girls are using it today, it makes me wonder how any of us survived without it. In fact, if I ever forget to put on my primer before applying foundation, I just know it will be a bad makeup day. I never realized how much my foundation moved on my face before ever trying a primer. One area that I realized lost the most coverage through out the day was on my nose. I would have to constantly reapply through out the day to keep it covered. I had always moisturized prior to applying foundation, but never even looked into priming, A few months ago I was constantly seeing one particular product pop up in a makeup group I am a part of on Facebook. These girls were raving over Baby Skin by Maybelline. I just kept seeing these good reviews, (though some girls were not satisfied because it tended to give them oily skin) and so one day I went out and purchased it. Let´s just say that this product has CHANGED my life for the better. I always have at least two stocked in my makeup vanity. (Especially because there are only a few left every time I go to the store.) Even though I covered some of the obvious reasons above, priming can affect your skin in more ways than what you think. Here are some benefits you will want to know about face primers -
For those of you who do not know what your t-zone is, it is your forehead, chin, nose, and around your mouth. Your t-zone happens to be more oily than the rest of your face, which is why a lot of girls will only apply it here. This product claims to ¨erase your pores¨, which I 100% agree. I have never seen a more flawless face on myself before discovering this. Though I wish I had more primers to recommend, I haven´t had to look any further than this primer right here. And the best part about it, is that it only costs 5 dollars. I would rather spend 5 dollars on a primer I will use all of the time than 30, but if you spend more for primer then you go girl!
Day two I decided to apply this product after applying my foundation. I buffed my foundation into my skin and let it dry. Once dried, I attempted to use the sponge they provided one more time with this product, and saw that it only was wiping my makeup away. I watched plenty of tutorials on this product, (which I didn´t understand why it was so hard to figure out) and even though I was doing everything right, this product just wasn´t cutting it. Needless to say, I returned it the next day, (and had a very rude run in with the worker at customer service who had claimed that her daughter uses it and loves it. Which I highly doubted.) Plus this product costed more than the Baby Skin, but yet the quality was just terrible. Now if you want to know how to get a perfect finish and full coverage foundation look then you need to know that using a silicone primer and silicone foundation together will change everything. Why? Simply because the two products will bond together and hold even better through out the day. Using a silicone primer and a water or oil based primer will have a different effect for your face and may not hold up as well through out the day. So now I am going to show you 4 of each high end and drugstore foundations that are made with silicone and also 4 of each high end and drugstore silicone primers to use with them -
So pretty much using any of these products together, you will get an amazing full coverage and flawless look! I would say that using the high end makeup would give you even greater results, but everybody has different skin so who knows. Some drugstore foundations and primers might end up working better than high end. Its all about finding what works best for you and sticking to it. I personally use my Baby Skin and Urban Decay Naked Skin foundation together and it works amazing for me. So, I hope that this post helped a little bit for those of you who were asking about primer! I tried my best to answer all of your questions. If you have anymore be sure to contact me so I can help! If this post helped you or you just enjoyed it then be sure to share it with your friends ;D Also be sure to follow me on Twitter if you love makeup as much as I do! I am sure you guys could relate to a lot of my tweets, I love you guys so much and I can´t wait to see you on my next post!
With love, Hello beauties, I know this post is a little late but better late than never right? For those of you who have already gotten your glam bags this month then you already know what goodies it contains. To be honest I was kind of disappointed with this months glam bag, and this might be my last one to be honest. It was fun while it lasted, but I think I want to move onto some new subscriptions and see what else is out there! (I will miss all of the makeup bags though.) Here is what my March glam bag looked like, I am completely in love with the design and the color. It definitely gave off Spring vibes! I have to say that this bag is actually one of my favorites, (even though I am pretty sure I say that every time) but this time I mean it! Now I am going to list each product I received in the order from my favorite to least favorite. - Mellow Bronzer I am pretty excited about this bronzer! I love trying new brands of bronzers and seeing how well each one takes to my skin. This bronzer applied perfectly to my skin and gave off an amazing glow. I have never heard of this brand but I will deff have to look more into some other makeup products they have to offer. The best thing about Ipsy is that it introduces you to so many new makeup brands that you may of never heard of. I have fallen in love with quite a few brands through this Subscription! MeMeMe Mini Makeup Brush Next I received this mini makeup brush, which I thought was completely adorable. As many of you know, my favorite thing to receive in my glam bags are makeup brushes. I love to add them to my collection because lets get real here, you can NEVER have too many. The bristles feel so soft and amazing on my skin. If the quality is as amazing as I am thinking it will be then I might have to purchase some more and do a haul. ;D Global Beauty Care Dead Sea Face Mask My next favorite product is this dead sea wash off mask by Global Beauty Care. Even though I already own a bunch of face masks, I love comparing brands and seeing how different each one affects my skin. I have yet to try this one out but when I have a ¨me¨ night I will update you guys on how well it worked! Also this mask is for all skin types! NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick One of the products that I was unsure of was this NYX cream lipstick. I love the quality but cannot see myself in this color. Too pink for me! But, I will be purchasing more of these lipsticks because it lasted me all night after eating, drinking, and even when I tried to wipe it off. Anyone that has tried these lipsticks knows whats up. I may try to come up with a Spring makeup look to use with this color. Hopefully it works out, and if it does you guys know I´ll be posting about it. ;D It is definitely a very bold and different color for me but maybe I´ll try it and end up loving how I look in it! Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo Lastly, I was sent this Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo. I was only disappointed with this because I can never seem to use dry shampoo and make it look right! My favorite thing to do when I have mild greasy hair is take a hand full of baby powder and rub it into my scalp. It works like a charm! I might give this product a try next time I am having a bad hair day, but if it doesn´t work out for me then at least all of my friends love dry shampoo! So I hope that you guys enjoyed this short and sweet post about my potentially last Ipsy Glam Bag! I am thinking about switching over to BoxyCharm now because its only ten more dollars and they send full size products! Ipsy wasn´t horrible and in fact they introduced me to a bunch of great brands and products! But sometimes I got sent a lot of things that I already own (which how would they know if I already had something they sent) I just own too much makeup! If you love to try new things or need new makeup then this is deff a subscription for you! I hope that out of all of my posts about my glam bags, it has helped some of you decide whether or not you guys want to try it or not! I remember when I posted my first glam bag ever, (which was in November) a lot of you guys wrote me telling me that you were signing up asap! Let me know in comments below if you still like Ipsy or if you have switched over!
Also if you have any makeup or product subscriptions you guys want to recommend then leave them below in the comments section! For those of you that have me on Snapchat I am sure you have seen my dream vanity coming together! I will have a post as soon as possible all about my makeup storage and where I got everything! I have already been getting a lot questions about where I have gotten some of my organizers and decorations and don´t worry it will all be in one big post for you! I hope everyone is having a fantastic day and I will see you next time! With Love, Hello beauties! I hope that everyone has had a fantastic week so far! Today I want to talk about an issue that sometimes seems like it is never ending, and that issue is acne. Now, for some, or maybe even most people, they may of never had to deal with the constant struggle of acne. Acne is something that most people deal with in their teenage years, but now a days with all of the unhealthy eating and non existent skin routines, its becoming an issue for people even in their 20 and early 30s. I think that the main problem that people have with acne is getting rid of it just for it to come back again. Today I want to tell you some things you can do to keep your acne away for good (as long as you keep doing these things) and some things that really have helped me clear up my face. Ever since I have stopped trying to ¨treat¨ my acne, and just started to rather maintain a healthy and happy face, my life has gotten a lot easier and less stressful. No one likes to constantly feel insecure about their acne, especially when it is in a place where people look the most. Constantly trying to cover up your acne gets old after a while, and some acne treatments just aren´t enough, so here are some of my tips to clearing your skin and keeping a happy face just based off of my experiences! - 1. Observing your diet Do you break out everytime you go to the Chinese restaurant down the street? We all know that constantly eating greasy and fast foods can affect your skin in dramatic ways, but eating something just as simple as a certain type of fish or crab meat can actually cause you to break out without you realizing it. If you watch Carli Bybel then you probably heard her talk about how she had to give up for favorite food, sushi, because she realized that it was causing her skin to break out. She didn´t even realize this at first until she started tracking her diet and realizing that when she ate less her skin got better. Switch up what you eat each week and write down how your diet affects your skin. I realized that after giving up fast food my skin became less greasy. Sometimes eating other things can dry you out. The phrase ¨you are what you eat¨ isn´t a lie. It is actually very true. If you have struggled with acne then your diet just might be why. 2. Water Intake Its probably no surprise that drinking a lot of water can decrease your acne. Drinking water already has so many health benefits including making your skin hydrated and beautiful. Once I started drinking 64 fl. ounces of water a day my acne started to clear up crazy fast and if you don´t believe me then try it! 3. Antioxidants Adding lemon to my water once a day and drinking my morning tea also helped clear up my skin since they both contain powerful antioxidants. Lemon water and green tea can do a lot for your skin whether applied directly or ingesting it. 4. Finding your Holy Grail Acne Cleanser & Sticking to it Instead of just using an acne product just when you break out, find something that doesn´t dry your face out and use it EVERY night even if your face is clear. Why? Because certain acne products kill the bacteria that causes acne. I use acne-free acne cleanser every single night (after I exfoliate and tone) because it not only got rid of my acne, but it continues to keep my face clear without drying me out. You need to find a holy grail acne cleanser and stick to it, especially if you have always struggled with acne because getting rid of it can take a while and get frustrating, but using a product every night will prevent it and save you from having to keep dealing with it. 5. Sweat more I know that to some people this might sound crazy, but you need to find a sweat ritual in order to clear up your face. Exercising is one of the best ways to keep away acne because sweating aids detoxification, getting rid of the acne-causing substances from your body. 6. Prime Priming your face creates a barrier between harsh makeup and your skin. You can find a few lists online of different primers that are good for acne prone skin but different primers react differently to some peoples skin so you really just have to find the right one for you by testing out a few of them! 7. Acne fighting foundation & high end foundation Everyone has different skin and your skin changes so much through out your life. I went from using drugstore foundation the first 20 years of my life (okay I didnt use makeup my whole life but you get the point), to not being able to wear it at all. I can only use high end foundation now or I will break out within three days of using drugstore. (I´ve counted) I actually had super bad acne on my chin until I switched over to Urban Decay Naked skin foundation, then my acne cleared up within a week, no lie. Instead of clogging my pores like most drugstore foundations, it dried my acne up and was light on my skin. A lot of foundation is medicated now a days, too - Using these might be your best bet, especially if you are constantly fighting acne. 8. Wash your makeup brushes With all of the tools, machines, and brush cleaners there are today, none of us have any excuse to not properly clean our makeup brushes. Using the same makeup brushes daily can be very bad for your skin, especially because your brushes can harbor bacteria. Yuck. If you have acne that you can´t get rid of, this might be the root of your problems. 9. Wash your hands before applying makeup & avoid touching your face I remember when I used to apply all of my makeup with my fingers........ (I was young okay), but whats worse than that is that I would just sit down and start doing my makeup without even washing my hands. Why is this such a big deal? Because your hands sweat, produce oil, and can have bacteria on them from touching things through out the day. So imagine all of that going onto your face while you´re applying your makeup. My face started looking a lot better once I started washing my hands prior to using makeup and when I stopped touching my face throughout the day. 10. Stop stressing! I know that sometimes we can get overwhelmed and stress out about the smallest things, but stress isn´t only bad for your health but can also be bad for you skin. Stress not only causes break outs but it can also cause worse, wrinkles. The best thing to do for your health and yourself is just to let go of all of the negativity in your life, take deep breathes, and smile. Know that everything is going to be okay and let your happiness shine! Acne isn´t something we should just keep treating but more or less something we try to prevent and maintain. It will make your life a lot less stressful and you will be a lot more confident once you have it under control. Adding these things to your daily or weekly routine can make a big difference in your appearance and health and all of these things are what have personally helped me. I cannot tell you which steps I took that helped the most because I started doing all of these things at once and found a significant difference in my skin. Remember, trying to change your ways and making new habits can be hard but it only takes a few weeks before something becomes routine! I went from having the worst water intake and no nightly skin care routine to now having to drink 64 ounces of water a day to be satisfied and not being able to sleep without properly washing my face. Also, its fun trying out new foundations and cover up and seeing how different each one can make your face appear. Even if you have been using the same foundation for years now, changing might end up being the best decision of your life. (Trust me). Time doesn´t wait for anyone, so if you want to be the best possible version of yourself then start making improvements today!
I love you guys so much and I hope you finish this week strong! With all of my love, Hello everyone! Today I want to talk about and introduce you guys to some of my all time favorite beauty related Instagram accounts. I follow so many beauty, fashion, and makeup accounts that my whole IG news feed is nothing but girly things. I have to follow them all because I never want to miss out on anything! What I love so much is that their are so many different things to look at when it comes to the beauty industry. Whether you are looking at someones makeup collection or a makeup look, Instagram is one of the best places to find out about new things, keep up on trends, and get inspired! I follow a good range of various makeup artists, beauty gurus, and beauty hack accounts. Though my list could go on forever, I am just going to give you guys a few for today. Enjoy - 1. @beautyisboring_beautyisboring_ makes beauty everything but boring. If you haven´t checked out Robin Blacks website then you need to be sure to do that, but her IG is just a small glimpse of all of her talent. She is a makeup artist and photographer who loves to do various models makeup and take multiple head shots to share with us. I have gotten a lot of inspiration for my makeup creations from this account. My favorite thing about her account is that it is so aesthetically pleasing. Check it out and you will know exactly what I mean. (Click the pink IG icon to go to each account.) 2. @jamiegenevieveJamie is one of the best beauty gurus I have ever watched. But not only do her Youtube tutorials impress me, but so does her IG. Once you start looking at her pictures you will not be able to stop. Her style is completely different than any of the other beauty gurus I watch. I love how bold her highlight and eye shadow looks are, and I am actually obsessed with her hair. She can honestly pull off any color. 3. @iluvsarahiiCan I just live her life please? When I visit her IG it pushes me into dream mode. I love her lifestyle, her looks, her makeup choices, and style! Every single pair of shoes she posts I literally put on my wishlist. She has a very neutral look and style, which makes it easy for anyone to get inspired by her. 4. @omgbeautyhacksSo, even though omgbeautyhacks doesn´t have as many hacks as you would think, they still have a ton of pictures that are super relatable to any girl who loves makeup, celebrities, and all things girly. I seriously love all of the pictures they post because they are all literally me. 5. @makeupmadhouseIf you are more into dramatic, bold, and even more artistic makeup, then you will absolutely love makeupmadhouse. She is a self taught makeup artist, which is absolutely incredible to think about when you are looking through all of her makeup creations. Her IG is becoming bigger and bigger with more recognition, and I will not be surprised if she goes big places one day with all of her talent in makeup, photography, and modeling (oh and she is a fantastic singer, just when you thought she couldn´t get anymore perfect.) 6. @patmcgrathrealPat is an international makeup artist who has done makeup for quite a few well known celebrities, and works on brands that you all know and love. For anyone who is aspiring to become a makeup artist, then she is the perfect person to follow because she has achieved so much and is continuing to succeed in the makeup and beauty industry. 7. @makeupbymarioIf you think Kim K has fabulous makeup, then you need to follow one of her fave makeup artists. She also really loves Rihanna like me so I mean shes pretty cool. 10. @sjblifesjblife is a brand ambassador for Loreal Paris. He posts so many awesome glam photos of celebrities and models that I love looking at. He also has some super amazing photography that isn´t makeup related but still is lovely. 11. @makeupvideoss Next I have makeupvideoss. This is an IG account that posts short makeup tutorial clips. I have seriously watched all of their clips so many times because I just find all of the transformations super entertaining. Also, watching these clips give me complete inspiration and makes me want to try out all of these looks. (Disclaimer: Some videos look easier than what they really are so sometimes you might epicly fail, but thats okay!) 12. @makeup_clipsSo if you like the account I just mentioned then you can also follow makeup_clips. Honestly, can you ever watch too many? My whole IG newsfeed could be full of makeup clips and I would just be in heaven. I actually run out and anxiously wait for another one to be posted. Thats my life... So that concludes SOME of my favorite makeup accounts. My beauty blog twitter account is @bryantbeautyblo (couldn´t fit in the G. LOL) I love you guys so much and until next time! With love, Courtney Faith BryantHello beauties, I hope you are all having a wonderful and productive day. My day has been very productive considering that I got to try out 3 new lipsticks from Bites new lipstick collection, the Amuse Bouche. I am so happy that I was chosen for this Voxbox because you guys all know by now that I am a complete and total lipstick fanatic. When I received this box yesterday, I wanted to unbox and test out all of these lipsticks asap, but you all know that I would never try anything out without showing you guys the first look.
So, here they are! I was almost spot on, besides the pepper, which is the pretty light one. What is so amazing is that these were sent to me at random (by Influenster for testing purposes only) but yet these are all colors that I would totally buy and wear on the daily. I was very excited to try all of them but the color that I love the most was the Pepper shade (far right). To me it looks like something Kylie Jenner would rock, and you all know how much I love her style and makeup. I tried these out from the lightest shade to darkest shade and took pictures for you guys to check out. When I swatched these lipsticks, they were very creamy and pigmented. The Pepper shade stood out to me the most, the BeetRoot and Gazpacho were similar on my hand, but different on my lips. Here are the swatches and then I will be doing more in depth about each color and about how they wear. Top - Pepper Middle - Gazpacho Bottom - BeetRoot
In other words, the Amuse Bouche lipstick line has far exceeded my expectations and I would grade each lipstick with nothing less than an A+. For all of my lipstick fanatics out there, you HAVE to try this collection out ASAP. I am waiting for the day that I can purchase more colors and hopefully one day own all 34 of these brilliant lipsticks.
Though these lipsticks were sent to me for free, this is NOT a sponsorship. Influenster sends me products to test for my REAL and HONEST opinion. I know that a lot of people get skeptical when it comes to YouTubers and Bloggers because some people make commission off of their viewers, but I have no interest in any of that because I love you guys and would never want to steer you in the wrong direction. I hope that you guys enjoyed this post and I hope that you also go out and try some of these bold shades. If you do be sure to tag me in your pics with your lipstick on so I can see how marvelous you guys look in this line. I love you guys so much and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day. I unfortunately have class to attend now. With all of my love, Hello hello, Today I want to cover something extremely important no matter what age, skin type, or gender you are. That very important thing is skincare. Skincare is something I have become rather obsessed with within the past few months, but luckily, this is something we all need to kind of obsess over and be conscious of throughout our lives to ensure healthy and happy skin. Today I want to inform you guys on amazing ingredients, different skincare fads that work and do not work, and some products I would and would not recommend. With all of the different products I have tested and all of the research I have done, I am very excited to be able to share my knowledge with you guys! First things first, we all know that proper hydration is key to healthy skin. Fox 8 recently showed a mom who looked no older than her youngest daughter, who was in their teens. When they asked her what her youthful secret was, she simply replied with, water. Best believe that since then, I have been sucking down the water like no other! Water can clear up break outs, suppress your appetite and boost your metabolism, keep your brain feeling clear while providing you with energy, and most importantly keep away wrinkles and fine lines while ensuring hydrated and beautiful skin! One of my resolutions were to drink more water, approx. 64 oz a day, and I have actually been fulfilling that with the help of my handy dandy detox water bottle from blogilates, which also keeps you on track with where you should be with your water intake throughout the day. (Not a sponsored post btw) If you can´t get your hands on one of these bottles, then you can also simply add up your fluid oz throughout the day! If you are drinking a water bottle thats 16.9 fluid oz, then divide 64 by 16.9 which is 3.7, which means that roughly you will need to drink close to four of those water bottles that day to reach the recommended amount. With one of these water bottles from blogilates, you only need to drink two. You can purchase these bottles here at www.ogorgeous.com_ Some ingredients are so beneficial that you want to make sure you are getting them in your moisturizers, makeup, etc. Some of those ingredients provide different benefits, so I will break them up for you. If you want to reduce fine lines and wrinkles look for -
Which ones really work? Have you ever wasted your money on a fad just to do some research and realize that you wasted your money and it didn´t even work? Whether it was a detox, or a fitness scam, a gradual tanning product, a health product, etc. We have all been down that road where something sounded better than it actually was. In the health and beauty world, this is not uncommon. So today I want to clear up some fads and let you know where to put your money. First things first, the snail slime fad. Sounds pretty crazy right!? Actually sounds pretty gross at that.... trust me I thought the same thing at first. I didn´t even know that this was a thing until recently. I stumbled upon the idea on the internet one day and decided to look deep into it before purchasing the product. I then took a leap and bought a product that contained this strange ingredient. Whats so great about snail serum? As mentioned before, snail serum can reduce inflammation and redness, stimulate skin regeneration, and lock moisture into your skin. That all sounds great right? Well, various studies have proven that this product actually works, especially since this isn´t a new thing. The use of snail slime in the skin care world dates back to Ancient Greece. Farmers that handled snails realized that their skin was visibly smoother thus bringing snail slime into the world of possibilities for younger, smoother, and happier skin. How does it work you may ask? Simple, the slime is packed with nutrients like hyaluronic acid, glycoprotein enzymes, antimicrobial and copper peptides, and proteoglycans which as mentioned before, are all amazing for your skin. These products are all usually added to beauty products, but snails produce this stuff naturally. In other words, snails are just fabulous creatures with amazing skin. It increases the production of elastin and collagen, which are essential in your skin to maintain a healthy and youthful look and glow. So, does it work? I say YES! I have been using this product for weeks now, and I see a significant difference in the texture, look, and color of my skin. I swear by this product and now wish that I would of found it sooner. My fine lines are slowly disappearing, my skin is smooth at all times of the days, and the redness in my skin has rapidly decreased. The reviews I read are amazing, too, with women who suffer from wrinkles from intense UV exposure their wholes lives, they have seen miraculous results after just a few short weeks of using this product. I would recommend only using this product before bed, and not before applying makeup simply because it is slimy and will move your makeup a tad. Also, when you use it for the first time, be sure to test it on a small area of your skin in case you have any allergies to this that you do not know of. I will list my preferred brand below in my products recommended section! Second, the peptide fad. Many of you skincare junkies might be familiar with this fad. It comes back up every once and a while in the healthy and beauty industry, with scientific reasoning and facts backing the theory but without any legitament proof of the results. Lets take a look at the back story, then you guys can decide if this is worth it or not. How does it work? The science behind this skin phenomena is very straight forward and make a lot of sense. Peptides are a compound of two or more amino acids linked in a chain, which are active molecules of protein, which collagen is protein. Peptides are proven to signal your skin to make collagen. Which we all know collagen is essential to your skin. Neuropeptides are said to act like botox, since some peptides MIGHT block the transmission of signals from nerves to your facial muscles. All of this sounds great right? I mean it sounds pretty important to add into your skincare regimen. Does it really work? Okay guys, calm down. Before you get too excited and run out to buy this item, lets see what else it says about peptides.... I found that peptides also might not do anything. Sigh. So after all of my research and excitement I stumble across this sad statement. The reason why peptides might not work at all is because many things have to go right in order for these peptides to break down and stabilize correctly. Also, if a peptide is in a thick cream that sits on your face, then it might not absorb. If it only sits on your face, you will end up washing it off before anything can happen to your skin. AWESOME. Some people still swear by these peptide creams, but I personally say save your money and stick with the snail slime. Lastly, the green tea fad. This one is my favorite. I´m sure you guys already figured that though with all of my raving over green tea all of the time. You are all probably sick of hearing about it tbh. But yet here are more amazing things that green tea can do for you and your skin! Lets look more into it - How does green tea affect your skin and does it work? So whether you are drinking green tea or applying it directly to your body, you are always getting some sort of benefit. When you drink this miracle beverage or use it as a face mask, you are reducing the environmental damages done to your skin. Why? Because not only is green tea high in antioxidants, but it also contains Vitamin B, folate, manganese, potassium, magnesium and caffeine which are all great for your body, skin, and mind. Green tea is consumed mostly in Asian countries, which btw have you ever seen an Asian with bad skin? I think not. Maybe they´re born with it, maybe its green tea. Korea and Japan have the BEST skincare products and if you can get your hands on them I say go for it. They make so many face masks, moisturizers, hair products, serums, etc with green tea, which speaks for itself. I personally love using the green tea face masks the most. If you ask me if I think it works, I will say YES everytime, though I am sure some studies will say it doesn´t. (Most will agree that it does make an amazing difference in skin though.) Make at home face and hair masks for more benefits - I love making at home face and hair masks because I know that it is all natural ingredients. Though, I love buying hair and face products containing green tea and honey, sometimes putting together a honey and green tea mask is more effective since it won´t be full of other ingredients that might have tendencies to dry out your face. If you know you are only adding green tea, honey, and maybe oatmeal, then you know that you are completely benefiting from those three items. Make sense? Plus then you are saving money in the long run!
As I had mentioned before in previous posts, ALWAYS do your research! You never know how bad a product can actually be for you, or if you are simply wasting your time on a skincare fad that doesn´t even work. For my girls that do not take care of their skin because they are younger, PLEASE start now. Skincare is crucial, and once you get wrinkles or bad skin, it is hard to counteract. Take care of yourself and love yourself, one day you will thank yourself for taking that extra step and doing the things you need to do.
Obviously today I did not cover everything, though hopefully I did cover a lot. There are so many more products and ingredients and fads out there to talk about, and maybe one day I will add on a part 2. Let me know below if thats something you guys are interested in. If you guys have any masks or products you love let us know in the comments section! Also, I didn´t get around to my February Favorites simply because I haven´t had time for anything, even shopping and trying new things! This month flew from me completely, but don´t worry, I will be testing out a lot of new products and shopping a lot more this month, (I hope). I love you guys all so much, and I will see you again next time! With love, Hello my pretties! I have yet another Ipsy glam bag to share with you for this month. I know a lot of you love to follow and see what goodies I get before purchasing so I love to post these for you. Also, this is a great way to see what products are out there without having to subscribe yourself! I love giving you guys my honest reviews and opinions so you can invest your money into makeup thats worth it! Honestly, I used to spend a ton of money on makeup, try it out, hate it, and never touch it again resulting in my wasting a ton of money. Since then I have become to review reading queen and I am usually always happy with my purchases. Though, sometimes I like to go out on a limb and test things out for myself, which subscriptions are the best way to do that! For ten dollars a month I can never feel bad for tossing away on of these sample products. So first things first, here is an overview of what came in my glam bag. I was very impressed as I took out each product and realized that I got a few goodies that I have actually been wanting to try. The theme this month is Pretty In #IpsyPink, which who doesn´t love pink honestly. (Okay, a lot of people don´t but I do!) It might be obvious that this is the theme since it was just Valentines day? But that is besides the point. Lets take a closer look at each product I received this month - The first product that I pulled out of my glam bag was this Model Co. lip lacquer. The color looks absolutely gorgeous. I actually tried it on at that moment. The first thing I noticed was the amazing smell. This is honestly one of the best smelling lip products I have ever owned. It looked a bit thick and a little bit gooey as I pulled out the applicator, but as I applied this product to my lips, it went on like any other lip gloss. I didn´t see a significant difference in my lip color, but it has quite a bit of a shine. Since I personally do not like lip glosses or shine, I wasn´t very impressed receiving this item, but someone who loves lip glosses would probably be rather amused with this product. This next product is something I was very excited about. This is a blush stick by treStique! The funny thing about this product is that I pulled it out of the bag thinking that it was missing a cap, meanwhile the cap is the pencil looking thing. How funny. I opened this up and immediately applied it to the top of my hand to get an idea of how creamy this product is. In one swipe I had a very consistent but yet easily blend-able line of product on my hand and I could not wait to use it on my face. Seeing how creamy this product is really made me wonder if they offer a contour and highlight stick, and if they do then I will deff be purchasing both. The other product that has me very excited is this Theoree argan oil hair serum. I am always buying new brands of hair serum and get very excited trying them out and seeing how amazing they make my hair feel. For the most part, every serum I have ever purchased has left my hair feeling great, so I cannot wait to see if this product does the same. I am always in need of more hair serum so I love that they sent this to me this month. My all time favorite product probably ever sent to me by Ipsy is this itcosmetics full coverage anti-aging concealer, which is also water proof. I love the fact that they sent this product to me because I have had my eye on the itcosmetics foundations and concealers but never went through with switching since I swear by my Urban decay. I used this concealer with my Urban Decay foundation today and I have to say, I was very impressed. For one, I love anything anti-aging especially ever since I have become skin obsessed. When I put a blotch on my finger, the consistency looked great and you could tell this product would cover my problem areas easy. I wasn´t wrong at all, this concealer did not crease under my eyes by the end of the day (like other concealers) and it covered the redness in my acne flawlessly. I already cannot wait to use this product again tomorrow and will be purchasing the full size, plus the foundation, plus any other skin and face product they have to offer. I promise to let you guys know when I get around to doing that. (; The last item I was a little bit disappointed in only because I already own like five red nail polishes and the other nail polish that could of been sent to me was a pretty pink color! Sigh. But thats okay, its always good to atleast use different brands and see how they wear. This is the brand ciate London, which I have never heard of, so I am kind of excited to use this and see how it looks. My only request to Ipsy would be to send more unique nail polish colors, unlike red and gold, because I feel like a lot of people already own those two basic colors, though I could be wrong. I do have two big tubs of nail polish already, so I´m thinking that I might just retake my quiz and unmark nail polish so I can get a different item! So there are my five awesome products that I received this month, and I am already eager to get my glam bag next month! I know that quite a few of you have signed up for Ipsy after reading my posts so that makes me super happy that I could introduce you guys to something new and fun! If you guys received anything different let me know in the comments below and tell me what you think of the products you received!
If you guys have any other subscriptions you guys like then also let me know down below because I am always looking to try something new! I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentines day, and for those of you who do not follow me on snapchat and were wondering what my plans were, I just took my bf out to dinner and got us a suite with a hot tub! I also brought bubble bath which turned into us being children and almost over flowing the tub with bubbles. It was great! If you guys want to follow me on snapchat then my username is courtneybay_bay and I will be sure to add you guys back! I love you all soooo much and I hope you are all living a stress free and positive life! With all of my love, Hey babes! So with Valentines day being right around the corner, I decided to throw a V-day post your way. Valentines day makeup, and actually any makeup for a special occasion is like my favorite thing, ever. Its fun to do something different and maybe get out of your comfort zone especially if you stick with the same everyday makeup look. This Valentines day be a little more risky and go with something more seductive! Not only will your partner be impressed, but you will love it, too! Yesterday I decided to play around and come up with a Valentines makeup look for you guys, and from my snapchats and other social media, you guys went crazy and loved this look. I am so happy I initially planned on posting this and took pics for you guys! I decided to keep the steps short and sweet since the pictures are (hopefully) easy to follow, so if you want to see how I achieved this date night makeup look then keep reading! First things first, I prime with my Urban Decay primer potion. As many of you know this is my favorite primer ever and nothing else, for me, has compared. For this look I will be using my Binkle eye shadow that I got in the January Ipsy glam bag. This color is gorgeous and perfect for this occasion. It has a touch of glitter but isn´t too much or too obnoxious. I will also be using my Bdellium tools makeup brushes for this look, which I haven´t really mentioned much to you guys. I am absolutely in love with this brush set, the quality is amazing and the brushes are super nice and soft. (If you guys want me to do a review on these makeup brushes then let me know in the comments below or message me). Here I am using this Bdellium shadow brush number 777. Using this brush, I apply the Binkle eyeshadow all over my eyelid trying my best to avoid getting the shadow in my crease. As you can see the eyeshadow is very pigmented and the color is still just as beautiful on the eyelid as it is in the eyeshadow tray. It went on flawlessly and I had no troubles evenly applying it to the eyelid. Next I will take this angled shadow Bdellium brush number 766 and use it for the crease. Angled brushes provide perfect and effortless application in the crease of your eye. The color I am using in my crease is this very pretty brown shade from my Maybelline the Nudes palette. I was originally going to use my smoky Naked palette but I am in the process of putting together my beauty room and everything is packed away, including all of my new palettes. Sad face. Make sure you blend this shade into your crease and upper eye very well. Blend until you think you can´t blend anymore, then blend some more. Before I apply anymore eye shadow, I like to take my Cover Girl perfect blend eyeliner and line the bottom lash line heavily. I am so in love with this eyeliner and have been using it ever since I have ever started wearing makeup years ago. After applying the eyeliner, I take my shadow brush (777) and use this darker shade of brown on my lower eyelid. I apply it in a back and forth motion, slightly smudging the eyeliner for a smokey look. Take that same dark brown color and apply it only in the outer crease of your eye, as shown in the picture above. Do not forget to blend, blend, blend. Using this darker shade on the outer crease will add more depth and definition to your eye. Then, what is not pictured, is taking a very light shadow and applying it to the brow bone to highlight, This next step is optional but for a more edgy and sexy look you can add a cat eye. Meow. I love using my Maybelline master precise eyeliner pen for my cat eyes. For anyone who doesn´t have that steady of a hand, this is the product for you. After a little practice, your eyeliner should look perfect everytime. You can decide the thickness and length of your cat eye, but for this look I decided to keep mine simple, thin, and short. Lastly, I use my Better Than Sex mascara by Too Faced to finish off the look. I apply this mascara to the top and bottom lashes. This mascara is my holy grail and if you have never tried this product out then you need to ASAP. The name speaks for itself, honestly. If you want to apply fake lashes then go for it! If I were actually good at using lashes then I would of definitely incooperated them into this look, but unfortunately I just can´t even. So if you followed these steps correctly then this should be your final look! And if you did not get this look then all I can say is that its okay and keep working at it! You have a few days before V-day to perfect this! Makeup is honestly a skill so it does take a lot of practice. Never be hard on yourself because no one was just born with mad makeup skills.
I hope that this tutorial benefited you and either gave you a look to wear on V-day or inspired you to create your own Valentines date makeup look! I wore this look all day and got so many compliments so I cannot wait to wear it out this weekend! I would tell you guys my Valentines day plans but my boyfriend reads my blog so I can´t spoil the surprise. If any of you have non secretive plans then comment them down below and also let me know if you guys loved this look or if it wasn´t your favorite! For my single ladies out there, throw on this makeup look, go out with your girls, and slay! Valentines day isn´t just about being sappy and romantic. Its about spending time with those you care about! I love you guys so, so, so much and I will see you next time! Xoxo, Hello beauty blogee´s! So my views have been going up more and more every week! Even in between posts a lot of you guys are checking in daily! That makes me feel so good to have that much traffic and people who love reading my blog so much that they keep checking back. You guys seriously rock. I remember when I used to make a post like once a month and wouldn´t get that much traffic so I didn´t feel bad not posting a lot. Now I feel so bad going more than 3 days without talking with you guys! I promise I´ll never leave you guys hanging for more than a week if I can help it. So besides all of that, today I wanted to share some of my all time favorite YouTubers (yes thats a word now) with you guys. I seriously watch YouTube every single day and I´m not even ashamed of this addiction. I have found some amazing women that I can relate to and watching their videos have helped me so much as a person. So, if you are a YouTube junkie like me then this is totally the post for you! Lets start shall we - Tana!! Oh how I am completely in love with Tana Mongeau. I probably came across her channel like three weeks ago and I have watched every single video she has ever posted already. She is seriously the funniest person to ever walk this earth. She is super vulgar and doesn´t care what people think about her. She has made it very clear that she is not a ¨Not a Beauty Guru¨, in fact she has a whole series of her doing beauty guru things in non beauty guru ways. Her sarcasm is great, but if you watch too much of her then you will deff be put into a sarcastic mood for a few days. Her lingo is also hilarious. I´ve already picked up her slang and sayings, which is fine with me because everything about her is just goals. She mainly does storytime videos, rants, and just fun videos in general that will always put you in a good mood. Be sure to check her out, unless of coursed you´re just a shrub (Tana joke) ;D My next favorite Youtuber is Channon Rose. She is one of the most genuine and postive people out there. She has been through so much as a person and I truly believe that all of her experiences have shaped her into such a wise woman! She is very open about her past in the porn industry, in fact she mentions it in most of her videos. She tells so many stories about her life that will always keep you wanting more, she has get ready with me videos, huge hauls, decorating ideas, holiday ideas, a whole series of videos of her wedding (which I watched all of), following up with some after wedding drama (which I also watched all of). I really love her vlogs where you just kind of, sort of ¨hang out¨ with her and see what shes up to. She makes you feel like such a big part of her life that you always want to keep up with her. I love Channon Rose more than life tbh. Next we have this amazing YouTuber, Meg. She is seriously one of the funniest people I will ever watch, like this girl literally needs her own reality show. Tana and Meg are a lot alike, which probably explains why they are both at the top of my favorites list. She has so many hilarious rants about her life, makeup tutorials, hauls, DIY videos, etc. I don´t even really obsess over DIY ideas but watching her tutorials makes me want to decorate everything. When you aren´t laughing with her, you are creating something with her. She is someone I would love to meet in real life and be friends with. With the way she talks about her past, I feel like I can relate so much, which is another reason why I always tune into her channel. If you like real, then she is someone you need to watch for sure. Okay so simplynessa15 is literally the definition of perfection. I recently found her channel through the suggestion box on my other favorite YouTubers channels. She is so adorable, independent, and she rocks a million awesome wigs. She makes me want to just go out and purchase a bunch of different colored wigs and wear them around like she does. (but honestly, I couldn´t get away with it like her.) She is someone I admire because she is so well off in life already and she has her head straight. Her makeup is always perfect and she has a million makeup tutorials. If you love storytimes and makeup as much as me then I say hit that subscribe button. Amanda Ensing´s makeup.... omg. Her makeup tutorials are seriously so bomb. She one of the prettiest beauty gurus I have ever seen and her style is AWESOME. She is more of a grungy beauty guru, which is different. She does a lot of celebrity inspired makeup looks and I swear they are always on point. Not very good at makeup? Thats okay, she has a whole series on beginners makeup and simple tutorials that will change your life...and face. She actually is who introduced me to Quay Australia sunglasses and once I saw her rock them, I just knew that I needed to have them. Subscribe to her to make your life more awesome. Okay, listen, I can never even begin to explain how amazing this woman is at makeup.... like.... you literally need to watch one of her videos to understand how skilled she really is. Not to mention she is the contour queen obvi. I think my favorite thing about her is that she overdraws her lips like me and even though everyone seems to have a problem with it, she has no shame. (Overdrawing until the day I die.) Do you struggle with acne? Does your foundation oxidize right when it hits your face? Does your face get greasy under your makeup? She has the solution for all of these problems. The best thing about her channel is that she focuses on things that other beauty gurus don´t. Again, just starting out with makeup? You will deff want to watch her ¨Makeup Basics You Must Know¨ series! One of my younger favorite Youtubers is BeautyChickee! She is so adorable and so fun. I love how mature she is for her age and I can watch her videos all day. Her wisdom for her age is miraculous. She is so amazing at makeup. Like I am so jealous that I didn´t do my makeup like her when I was in highschool.. I mean my life would of been better probably if I did... LOL. She has some pretty bomb makeup tutorials as well, so you should probably head over and check them out. And for the younger girls, she has so many ¨chit chats¨ about girly things you need to know about like shaving, periods, etc. She has no shame and wants to help so if you are at that age and need some guidance, I say hit subscribe and learn some things! So that concludes my current favorite list of YouTubers! I hope you guys check some of these amazing women and fall in love with their channels like I did! I´m sure I will have more favorites in a few more months, and I will continue to keep updating you guys so you don´t miss out on any other amazing channels like these ones. Let me know below if you guys already watch some of these channels and if you have any recommendations drop them down below! I am not kidding when I say I´m a Youtube junkie...
But anyways, I hope you guys are achieving all of your 2016 goals and pushing yourselves to be the best possible version of yourselves! I love you all so much and can´t wait to see you next time. With all of my love, Hello love bugs! Today I want to show you some of my favorite purchases of the month! Monthly Faves will be a regular thing on BryantBeautyBlog for now on so I hope you guys enjoy it! This month I found quite a few things amazing things at a great price and I cannot wait to share them with you! As you also can see I have five monthly favorites on my welcome page each month, which may or may not be included in this post! Some things I have posted on my welcome page might already have been mentioned in a different post, so I will try to do different products and objects for this post to not be so repetitive, enjoy! Starbucks Rainbow Macarons Mug So, I have no idea where I first saw this mug, (either from another blogger or a beauty guru) but I am completely obsessed with it! When I saw it, I knew I had to have it, especially since its so different than all of my other Starbucks cups. For anyone who knows me, you know that I have to have every single coffee cup, travel or mug. I also love how much this holds, which is 16 fl. oz. The website claims that this mug is dishwasher safe, but when I really love something, I play it safe and hand wash! You can purchase this mug online at Starbucks.com for only $10.36 (plus shipping), which is a great price for this lovely item! You can also click the button below where I have provided the link for this cup! Real Techniques Sculpting Brush So my next favorite purchase of January is this Real Techniques sculpting brush, which yes, I did mention in my Ulta Haul post along with my other real techniques brush! I finally used this sculpting brush and lets just say, the results were fabulous. I had recently purchased the Lorac Contour Pro Palette in December, which if any of you have purchased this palette, then you know that it comes with a round contour brush, which is great since it can be used for highlighting and contouring, but I personally had a hard time using the round brush for that perfect contoured look. (I still use it for highlighting because it works perfect.) This sculpting brush does everything I need it to do! Ever since I have switched over to using this brush, my contour is always on point. It has the perfect thickness (so my line isn´t thin and petty), It blends amazingly (which can be a struggle for beginners using this palette), and it gives you a great consistency of the product (when you tap the brush, the perfect amount of product comes off so you can easily create a non cakey contour.) I got this brush for $20.00 and it was worth every penny! Right now Ulta is having a buy 1 brush get one 50% off and it looks like you can currently get this brush for $9.99 so I say if you want this, purchase it asap! Here is the link for this brush - Report Black Patent High Heels I love, love, love these heels so much! I actually bought them from the shoe store I work at, (which I had my eye on from the first day I walked in.) I feel like every girl needs a good pair of black high heels. I swear I have every other style and color of heel but no plain black pair that I could wear with everything. That´s why these are seriously perfect. I already see myself wearing these with so many different outfits! These heels were originally $40 dollars, but luckily they dropped down to only $10 dollars and that´s when I snatched them up! Talk about a bargain. Black Patent heels will never go out of style for me. Unfortunately, I couldn´t provide a link for this exact heel, but on their website they have a similar heel (its just not patent), ON SALE, for $21 dollars which I will provide the link for, so if you like these, you should deff check them out! Michael Kors Black Selma Mini Messenger This was actually a gift from my mom that I had received earlier this month, but guys, I am completely obsessed with this purse. Like nothing could ever scream my style more than this right here. Also, this is one of the most convenient purses I have ever owned. For someone who doesn´t carry much, it fits everything perfect. Now if you have a bunch of stuff and need a lot of pockets and dividers, this is not the purse for you, at all. It has one pocket on the inside (which I keep my coffee change in) and this may not be convenient for everyone! But as someone who just carries my phone charger, wallet, phone, and makeup, this is great. You can purchase this purse at Macys from 188 -248 dollars (depending on the color) with various colors like canary, cherry, ballet, coral, and navy! And if you love the studded purses and want something bigger, then no problem! They also have this fab purse in medium! Definitely a perfect purse for a more edgy yet still classy style. You can find these purses here - Nude Patent Wallet So this is my last favorite purchase of the month, which is this super classy looking nude patent wallet which I completely adore. I have been needing a bigger wallet like this for when I´m not in the mood for carrying around a purse. I also have a bad habit of not saving my receipts so I was hoping that by getting this longer wallet I could neatly place each receipt in it but that hasn´t worked out yet... I am obviously not good at adulting. I love that this will go with any bag or purse and any outfit. Its also super similar to the Michael Kors Jet Set Travel Continental wallet, but I got this on sale for 5 dollars (another steal). I actually purchased this from the shoe department and couldn´t find it anywhere online, but if I do find it I will be sure to let you guys know! So that concludes this months monthly faves and if you have any more questions about any of the items mentioned above then be sure to comment or contact me! (Information located in the contact tab). Also, be sure to follow me on instagram, facebook, and twitter for blog updates, and subscribe to my blog for my FREE monthly newsletters! What is your favorite item above? What are your favorite purchases of January? Be sure to let me know in the comments below. I love you guys so much and I will see you again next time.
With all of my love, Is she always broke but always looking fly? She just might be a shopaholic. Here are your signs -
With all of my love, Hello beauties, I have yet another ipsy glam bag to share with you! Lately I feel like time has just been going by so fast, when I got this months glam bag I was surprised. It honestly feels like New Years was just yesterday! I got quite a few unexpected goodies that I am super stoked to use and try out. Stick around to see what I got this month - This months theme was ¨All Eyes on You¨ so I received multiple eye products, which is cool with me. From eye cream to eyebrow product, I got a variety of fun, new products that I am super eager to try. The Ipsy glam bag itself is super adorable. I love how different it is. Its super lightweight and perfect to throw in my purse with some small beauty essentials I use on the go. I also like to use my glam bags as travel kits. Any face samples I receive through out the months I will put in a glam bag for an overnight stay somewhere so I do not have to drag out of my full size containers! This is perfect and has been working marvelous for me. But anyways, back to the glam bag goodies - The first item I received was this Promise Organic facial lotion. What makes me most excited about this product is the fact that I have been wanting to go more organic this year. It was one of my resolutions actually. So far Ipsy has sent me a few organic products that I have tried and loved, so I have high hopes for this one. I also love that its a facial creme, since I have yet to try out any organic face cremes, and have been looking for a new one! Organic products are perfect for your face because they do not contain any harsh chemicals that can actually speed up the aging process. When it comes to my face, I like to be very careful about what products I put on it. I did my research and I found nothing bad about this product, so I think this would have to be my favorite product in my bag! My next favorite item would be this tucker ashley Advanced Peptide Eye Complex. Peptide cream has been a bit of a buzz from time to time, since it is so useful and preventative in under eye wrinkles and crows feet, and fixing the discoloration of your skin. I say that everyone should try out a peptide cream and then invest in their favorite one. I mean who doesn´t want to avoid winkles? This product goes on smoothly, and smells great. I have used sparingly twice a day for about two days and my under eyes already feel very soft and amazing. Look wise I can´t inform you guys on anything new because in two days a whole lot doesn´t happen with appearance. But I will continue to use and if I do see significant changes or decide to purchase the full size bottle I will be sure to let you guys know! The third product I received is this Peek Natural Eyebrow stain powder in the color expresso. To be honest, since I have already found an eyebrow product that suits me very well, I do not think I will be using this item as much. I will deff test it out eventually and let you guys know what I think, but I am not too sure if I´ll be loving it. I think my main concern with this product is that there is no wax with it, which the wax to me is the most important part. But who knows, maybe I will end up trying this out and loving it. So, I also received this brown eyeliner brand Mr. Write (Now). Though I have never really used brown eyeliner before, I can´t say that I am opposed to trying it out. The brown eyeliner might actually make my blue eyes pop more so I will for sure try it in one of my makeup looks and let you guys see it! This is a brand I have never heard of, so I am also excited to get my hands on it and see what other products they have to offer! I will probably do an eyeshadow tutorial using this eyeliner to give you guys an insight on it so be sure to be on the watch for that! The last product that I have received is this blinkle brand shimmer eye shadow number 102 Tangerine Light. Pictures do not do this eye shadow justice, because when I pulled this item out of my glam bag, I instantly fell in love with the color. I think that this is so pretty, I just hope that it is well pigmented and lasts me all night. This is definitely more of a nighttime shadow, so I am already trying to come up with some going out looks to in-cooperate this in. One day when I am playing around with it I will show you guys more. If this brand carries this amazing color, then I already can´t wait to check out what other colors they have. So that sums up what I got in my January Ipsy Glam Bag!
If you receive a glam bag each month then let me know what you got in yours in the comments below! If you don´t receive a glam bag then tell me, what product would you like to try out from this glam bag? Also, you guys have probably noticed that I started to tag my pictures with @bryantbeautyy, which I hope isn´t too annoying for you guys. I really want to make sure that people know that these pictures are mine and make sure that no other blogger or random person off the internet can steal them from my page and use them as their own. This is actually something everyone should do. I started doing this to my photos on instagram also because I have a past with people taking my selfies and cat fishing other people with them. If I place my @ name in an area where it is hard to crop out then it will be harder for that person to steal my photos! Just a thought. Always practice internet safety. <3 I hope you guys enjoyed this post, and I love you all so, so, so much. I will see you next time! With all of my love, Hi beauties! Today I want to show you my latest obsession, Quay Australia Sunglasses! I´m sure you have seen these at least everywhere. I discovered these babies recently through one of my favorite beauty gurus and from that day forward I knew I had to have them, all of them. Unfortunately I have only just now started my collection, but by summer I want at least.... twenty more pairs..... check it out. Here are my first pair of Quay Australia sunglasses in the style Wayside, which I fell in love with instantly. I actually bought these as a Christmas Present for myself. Since I am the type of person to want to try on glasses before purchasing, this was a super hard choice. I spent quite a while looking at all of the sunglasses, wanting them all, but knowing I had to make the right decision. Luckily, this was the best choice for me. I went with these because they are casual and I can wear them anytime, anywhere. These sunglasses fit me better than any other sunglasses I have ever owned. The quality is amazing, and I can´t even wear my other sunglasses anymore because I have found something so, so, so much better. They go with everything and I get a bunch of compliments on these black, matte babies. They block out the perfect amount of sunlight, and just look absolutely fabulous. I actually decided that next time I want to go a little bit funkier and get something more bold, like the Vesper or the Delilah style. Currently saving up for another pair already! I am telling you guys, this is the start of a very unhealthy obsession! Once you go Quay, you can never go back.... I mean look at how perfect they are. Celebrities like Beyonce, Shay Mitchell, and Kylie Jenner have rocked these sunglasses in the past, now the bigger question is will you? They have so many different styles and colors that there are a pair to fit everyone. Have you checked out Quay Australia sunglasses? Let me know in the comments below what your favorite styles are! Thank you so much for reading, and until next time. Stay beautiful.
With all of my love, Hello Beauties! Today I am going to show you all of the Ulta Goodies that I purchased last night and tell you about the amazing deals I found all over the place! I seriously walked out with so much at such an amazing price. By the time I got back to the front of the store I was having an adrenaline rush because, well because thats just how I get in the makeup store. I love Ulta more than anything, but I swear when I go in there, its hard for me to make it back out... with money. Luckily, last night I scored big and still left with some cash. Yippie! Here are my findings - So, this isn't exactly a finding. This is more of what got me in trouble. I originally just needed foundation, so since I knew I was going to Ulta, I took my Ulta catalog out and did a look through (circling everything I had to have.) As many of you know this is my holy grail. I love this foundation more than anything. I recently had switched over to a drugstore foundation, and once I started to break out from it I switched back to this foundation which really cleared my skin up. This foundation is $40.00, but worth every penny. Here is the Ulta brand face brush, which I absolutely love. I had gotten a face brush for Christmas, I think the Acne-clear brand, and within less than a month water had gotten past the water proof seal and into the batterys. Luckily, I found this at Ulta for cheap and I cannot wait to use it. It comes with a brush and a massager. My other brush did not come with a massager so that makes me even more excited. I also bought a pack of replacement brush heads for only 6 dollars. This brush itself was only 20. I think this is an amazing deal especially for all that I am getting. Okay, so this super adorable Clean Getaway travel set was only 10 dollars, which is amazing. It comes with clarifying facial wipes, pores be pure mud mask, best face forward daily foaming cleanser, and totally clean acne treatment. For only ten dollars, this is a lot of product. I chose to get the travel kit so I can test out this line of products before purchasing the full sizes. I´ve read amazing reviews on these products and I have high hopes for this line. Don´t worry, I´ll be sure to let you guys know how well it treats my skin. If you have used these products then let me know in the comments below how you liked them! This is one of my favorite purchases. I actually didn´t intend on buying any makeup brushes, mainly because I already have a bunch, but lets be honest, a girl can never have too many makeup brushes. I actually don´t own any like these. I have a round Lorac contour brush, and a flat, narrow NARS contour brush, but not a flat contour or sculpting brush. I am super excited to try these out and see how it affects my contour. Plus they´re super adorable. The best thing about these brushes are that they are buy one get one FREE. So, that means I spent 25 dollars on the flat contour brush, and got the 20 dollar sculpting brush completely free. Now you see why I couldn´t pass up these two items. If the stock wasn´t so low I would of walked out with even more. Maybe its a good thing that I got out with these two only. So for the longest time, me and my mom were purchasing the single packets of face masks from Walmart for 1.49 each not knowing that you could just buy a big tube of it for less than five dollars. I purchased this for only 3 dollars. I bought the dead sea anti stress mask because its my all time favorite. It relaxes me while also cleaning my pores. These masks really dried up my acne while moisturizing my face in one sitting. It smells great and its easy to get off. After I use a face mask my skin feels great for the week and my makeup goes on so smooth. For the price of this product, it should be easy to use a face mask weekly. One thing I actually did mean to go to Ulta for were these jumbo size shampoo and conditioners, which were only $12.99 each. They have sales on a bunch of shampoos and conditioners in a price range from 12.99 each to 21 dollars each, with brands like Catwalk, Paul Mitchell, Its a Ten, Tea Tree, and more. I went with this shampoo and conditioner because it has natural ingredients in it like oatmeal and honey, which are both amazing for your hair. It is for dry and damaged hair, which my hair does get super dry in the winter, so lets hope this helps. I read some reviews on these products and I liked what I saw, so that makes me even more excited to use this! So what I ended up spending was 128 dollars. How? Well, first things first, I had 400 Ulta points, so that dropped my purchase from 140 to 128 (amazing), then with all of the sales and deals I hit up, I had ended up saving 74 dollars from that.
I didn´t spend too much time in the high end makeup side because I knew it would be over for me. I simply went over there, grabbed my foundation, then got out of that area quickly. (Teaching myself self control) The two sections I go the craziest in are the high end makeup and facial sections. I never really cared too much for the hair products and tools or nail supplies. What is your favorite area of the store? These sales end soon so I say go get your stuff now! What product would you like to try? Let me know down below. I hope you guys enjoyed this post and I hope it has given you some ideas on what to buy next time you make a stop at Ulta. I love you guys so much! With all of my love, Hello amazing people! I hope that everyone had an amazing New Year! I was meaning to post to you guys on NYE, but I was out of town and nowhere near a computer! Did you guys do anything fun on NYE? I love looking at everyone's makeup and hair for the night! I went with some old Hollywood curls, and Megan fox inspired makeup using my Naked smoky palette! It was also one of my first times applying fake lashes myself and that was horrible. Ugh. They were not on fleek, I had to keep re-gluing them and all night I was paranoid they would come off! Besides that, today I wanted to kind of chat about this drugstore foundation that I have heard so many good things about, somehow. You guys know I love my Urban Decay Naked Skin foundation, but I have been trying to find a drugstore foundation to rotate between so I am not always using my expensive stuff like for when I just go to work. I have watched a few videos where beauty gurus would talk about how much they completely adore this product and how flawless it makes your face look, so right away I was interested. The packaging even makes it look like a high quality product. So, lets talk about the issues here. Infallible Pro-Matte foundation So some things that the container promise us are 24 hour matte coverage, air light texture, demi-matte finish, and the ¨pro¨ look of longwear. Well, the first thing that really disappointed me with this foundation is the fact that in the store I squirted a small blob of the beige onto my hand, and it did not look orange or tan at all, it looked beige. So, I purchased it with high hopes and could not wait to use it the next day. So, I wake up in the morning, wash my face and moisturize, and start to apply this foundation. What do you know? Orange. Once I put it on my face it was so orange that it took me back to my tan towel days. (Wasn´t pretty). So, I was like okay, I am not finished with my face routine so I still stayed positive. I used my concealer to highlight, then used my powder highlight, bronzer, and contour to finish my face. It no longer looked orange, and I was actually quite happy with the look. Once I used the setting spray I was even happier with it. So, through out the day I would realized how cakey my face looked, and it seemed like as more time went on the worse it looked. The next day I made sure I used less product, blended it out more, and used a light layer. My face still felt heavy and cakey. Not the air light texture they promised me. I still made myself use it for the next few days but just kept trying different techniques to make it look better. I did enjoy the matte finish and the longwear, and once I finally became happy with this purchase, boom, I had a breakout. And I´m not talking a pimple here or there, I had atleast 6 or 7 on my chin, forehead, and even my cheek? I was so mad because I had just gotten rid of all of my acne and had flawless skin (especially with my new skin routine). I wash my face in the morning and at night (even with acne cleanser) but yet this still made me breakout bad. I switched back over to my Urban Decay Naked Skin and what do you know? My skin is back to normal. It is very unfortunate because it had potential to be great. Unfortunately, it just dried too cakey. Even on my beauty blender, it made the sponge feel rock hard, and if it does that to your beauty tools, imagine what it is doing to your face. I now have a whole container of this product that was 13 dollars (though it is cheap compared to my Urban Decay). I actually went back and read some comments on the videos with gurus talking about this foundation, I had found that a lot of girls were experiencing the same problems as me, it being too cakey, clogging your pores, etc. Maybe eventually they will make a better formula but until then I am staying far, far away from this one. Infallible Pro-matte makeup extender setting spray Okay, so I can say that one great thing did come from this experience! For the longest time, I heard that setting spray was kind of pointless and just a waste. Luckily, I took it upon myself to purchase a small sample bottle. I purchased this with the foundation because I figured it would help if the product wasn´t that good (which I was so right). After doing all of my makeup I sprayed this in the direction that the back of the box told me to. At first, when my face was just super wet, I was kind of worried that the product might dry shiny or make my foundation look blotchy. As I waited for it to dry, I realized that my makeup had NEVER looked better. It really does set the makeup into your skin and give you a finished look that I felt like I had been missing. Don´t believe me? Try it. Even though the foundation did not suit me, the setting spray in this brand is amazing and I will be purchases a big bottle once this one runs out. I even used it with my Urban Decay foundation and it had the same effect. It did extend my makeup wear and make my foundation look more natural. 10/10! So, there is my product review! And you may have this foundation and love it, that is okay. We all have different skin so we all have different experiences to certain products. Reviews are great, but when it comes to face makeup, face cleanser, and moisturizer, it is really something you have to try for yourself. Unless of course you read something horrible. I had bought a face wash a few weeks ago and in the store I was reading reviews. I just skimmed over a website where the product had 4 stars and a lot of people said that this product dried their faces out bad. Well, any product can dry out your face, and those people might not moisturize or have a skincare routine like mine. I went ahead and bought it, used it one night, then I started reading more reviews on it. (My hobby is reading reviews lol) I found another site where this product had 2 stars, and a few people said that this ruined there face temporarily and when they went to the dermatologist, he told them that one of the ingredients in this product should NEVER be used on your face! (Funny, the bottle said number one dermatologist recommended). So, I went back and returned it the next day. That is the scary thing about anything you put on your face, even makeup. Always do your research before buying a new product, and look hard. You do not want to ruin the most sensitive part of your body. Take care of yourself!
Okay, rant over. Do you guys have any drugstore foundation to recommend me? I was using colorstay by covergirl before switching to high end but I really want something new.
